I dont think there is a 'correct' analysis cos it's down to every one's point of view... but your one is pretty much like mine!

Oooh! Skandar! *hails* Umm...*cough* Skandar basically rocks, as you all know. But, I should tell you why I think he's so awesome and what drew me to him. I had not seen the movie (and was still rather leary of doing so). I got my Newsweek magazine and opened it to the Narnia spread. I read the article, and then moved on to the little blurb with the 4 actors...and was laughing hysterically at Skandar's phobia of women's underwear...when it finally hit me WHAT his NAME was. SKANDAR!! I mean SERIOUSLY! That name is the coolest name EVER! I told my friend his name, and from there it just snowballed. So now, everytime we say "Skandar" we throw our arms up as if we're hailing the gods. Mwa ha ha ha! Skandar! *hails* And from there, I was a fan...even though I didn't see a movie until it'd been out for a few months...:P
I feel a bit odd, though, being a fan of his...because I'm like 4 years older than him. Just a little strange...*nervous laughter*

SO...can I join?

Welcome Montana! LOL, I love his name, too! Maybe I'll name one of my kids Skandar. :P

I think that Skandar was undoubtedly the best actor out of the 4 in Narnia. I was SO impressed, it was a difficult role.

I agree - they all suited the character (although peter and susan were not exactly how i imagined them but close enough). I think you can really tell the difference in acting quality tho... but when your're in character acting isn't everything i spose...

I agree with Beri -- Skeynes was definately my favorite. Georgie a close second, then Will and last, Anna. I felt the two oldest didn't quite pull their characters off completely. Anna is a great actress, but I think it was partly her script -- so many of her lines made me cringe! :annoyed:

But with Skandar, as I've said over and over, there wasn't one line or one action that looked out of place.

I think we all might be a little biased on this topic. ;) However, I think they all did a fantastic job. I was personally more interested in Skandar's perfomance, more than the others, becuase of all the characters in the book, he is my favourite. Along with Mr. Tumnus and the White Witch...so, I was particularly critical of Skandar's performance, but he just blew me away. I mean, he just latched on to the character and took off. But no need to say that here because we basically all know that. :P But I think they all did a great job. I think the part that finally made me believe that William was Peter in this movie was when he hugged Edmund at the end. That performance was real. SO yeah...*wanders off*...

I think, that they were all good, William was good at making peter honerable, emotional, Anna was gd at making her character try to be cool and Skandar was gd at making Edmund a "erebel". Finally, Georgie is just soooooooo funny!

but i didn't really see peter as 'emotional' in the books - he was more fun loving than that and susan was just conscious of lots of things going on... not really trying to be cool. Ed was great and lucy - as i've said but i think the older to were good as far as on screen goes and the acting was good but i dont think they played true to the books.

Well, the movie wasn't exactly true to the book...I mean, it was down right close to it. But it changed a few things, here and there. But I'm sure they needed an emotional story for all of them. I mean, you can't just have happy go lucky, "I'm Mr. Perfect" for Peter. Ha ha ha...I like that description of him...he needs some sort of change...emotional climax. Just like that in The Lord Of The Rings...where they had to tinker with Faramir...otherwise he's just too bloody perfect. Ha ha ha. And personally, I'm kind of glad of the changes they made to Susan and Lucy (not that they didn't already rock in the books)...but when I reread TLTWTW after I saw the movie...I found it almost a sexist point of view...but that's my whole liberal feminist rantings coming out. The movie gave those two more room for stuff to do and figure out and stuff...do you get what I'm trying to say? I'm not wording it very well...
But Edmund's character, probably has the most growth in the book/movie/story..whatever...because his character embodies something in us all...and to have to play that would be hard. But fun...and Skandar just rocks! Ha ha ha! Okay...*cough* :P Ha ha ha I'm insane...*wanders off*...

^I kinda get what you mean...(don't worry, I can never get words to cooperate either ;))

Well, I don't really mind that the boys are the only ones that fight, and I was actually really mad that Father Chrismas' line "Wars become ugly things when women fight" -- ok, it was along those lines -- was taken out. I mean, it's just my opinion that I don't think women's place is in the battlefield.

Wow, we're (I'm) getting too politicious (is that even a word?). Moving back to Skandar...

Is anyone else really excited to see how he's going to pull off the almost "new" Ed in PC? I mean, he really does a lot of important things, it's not really like, 'Peter the High King, you gotta do everything", Edmund really comes up with some good ideas and plays a big role! The most important being when he (unlike everyone else) believes Lucy when she says she sees Aslan. Go Ed!

I want to know how they are going to keep them young?

It must be hard! They can only do a certain number of films being that age and Will is already 18 but his character is only 15!
