Legolas looked at Haldir, his eyes glittering with tears of rage and sorrow. “You slew your own aunt! How could you?” he questioned, his voice thick with emotion. As she sat up, Legolas wrapped her in his arms, tears of relief streaming down his face. “Elenriel, thank Eru you are alright!” he exclaimed holding her close. Elenriel smiled at him before turning to Lady Galadriel. “My lady, what brings you here?” “I sensed the occurrence of deeds most unnatural.” she replied. “Was I …dead?” “Indeed, but now alive once again.” Elenriel looked into Galadriel’s deep blue eyes for a moment before averting her gaze. She then raised her head once more, her eyes shining with gratitude. “Thank you for my life, my lady.” she said with great reverence. “Take care, young princess. Farewell.” Galadriel replied before departing. Elenriel then turned her attention back to her husband. “I’m sorry for worrying you, my love.” she said softly. “Shh.” Legolas replied as he kissed her passionately on the lips. Elenriel quickly returned his kiss, passion arising between them. When they parted, Elenriel gazed at Legolas lovingly. “Let us return to Mirkwood, my love.” she said softly. “While I am still in one piece” she added wryly. “I think I have had enough excitement for the day.” “As you wish, beloved.” he replied. With that both bid the rest of the guests farewell and then departed. _________________

He does not die... I make sure to think of the book during that part so I know it is just my imagination seeing him die in the movie  _________________
