Rienwyn raised one eyebrow slightly as Aadi returned carrying some kind of sack, though she said nothing as she handed the reins to a massive black stallion to her.

Aadi nodded her thanks as she took the stallions reins. She swung her leg up and mounted the horse. It was a beautiful horse, and she stroked the main appreciatively.
"Your father had beautiful horses." she commented.

"Yes..he did.." Rienwyn said softly as she swung herself into the saddle of the horse she had chosen, a fiery, pure white mare.

"We'd better get a move on then." Aadi said a tad uncomfortable. She guessed Rienwyn missed her father, and it was most likely a touchy subject.

Rienwyn nodded mutely, then turned her mare and urged her into a gallop before reaching the edge of the trees.

Aadi tapped the stallions side with her knees and galloped after Rienwyn, and out of the village. Good thing too, otherwise we'd have one mad butcher on our hands, she thought with a smile.

Once out of the village, Rienwyn breathed a quiet sigh of relief. She had been confined there her whole 17 years of life, and was, quite frankly, glad to be leaving finally.

Syleal took a white stallion and after comforting it, mounted and rode with his party.

They had been riding for some time when Aadi reined in her horse.
"I think we should stop, to rest the horses a bit." she suggested.

Rienwyn nodded silently in agreement, before reigning in her mare and dismounting with a slight wince.

Aadi dismounted and took out her waterskin and offered it to the others. She also reached into the bag she had filled earlier and took out a few pieces of salted pork. She offered that to the others too, making a comment on how the dragon should probably be fed also.

"Try giving it some fresh meat," Syleal suggested as he dismounted his horse and accepted the piece of meat. He took out a flask and drank from it.

I was cured all right.

Rienwyn took a piece of the offered meat, and as soon as she did, the dragon snapped at it and squeaked. "I think this'll do just fine.." she said with a wry smile as she held the meat out to the dragon, and it began eating it almost ravenously.

Aadi laughed as the dragon ate the meat. Good thing I visited the butcher.
"I hope the little thing remembers to chew in its haste." she remarked lightly.

Syleal heard a crack near his bag and excused himself. He took out a hatching egg and took it out of his companions' sight. They really don't need to see this Syleal thought as the creature inside make its journey out. The egg broke apart, revealing a infant basilisk. As the basilisk opened his eyes, Syleal looked at it straight in the eyes, allowing the basilisk to recognize him. From now on, the basilisk will never harm Syleal with its fatal gaze. Syleal took a bag out and put the basilisk inside along with bits and pieces of meat. He went back to the party.

After a couple minutes, the dragon finished eating the meat and squeaked happily, and Rienwyn laughed softly. "Well, little one, you're set for a while.." she said quietly, and the dragon squeaked again and nuzzled against her neck.
