Edmund nocked another arrow, and took careful aim. He shot it, and it hit the center. "Yes!" he said. "Finally."

"Yeah, well.." said Edmund in his old droll tone, "Some of us don't have as much time to dedicate to practice as you do..." he smiled slyly at her.

Felicity laughed softly and smiled, before nocking another arrow and releasing it, just missing the very center.

Ev's smile broadened a little, and she laughed to herself. "What was that for?" she asked with a half-grin, half-smile.

Edmund nocked another arrow, aimed, and fired. He got the center again, but barely this time. He sighed. "How do you get the patience for this?" he asked.

"I suppose just by working at it constantly. That's what I did." Felicity said with a slight shrug, lowering her bow again.

Edmund, conscious that she was looking at him, took careful aim this time. He watched the target, saw the arrow going to it, and hoped it would when he released it. To his surprise, it did. He blinked.

Ev, in a wave of her spontaniety, suddenly straightened up, then lay back on her back to look at the sky. She made herself comfortable, then closed her eyes, smiled, and said, "I'll be down here." When her head started to hurt from the impact, she put a hand on the back of her head and grimaced, laughing and saying, "Ow..."
