may I join? Yes of course! Welcome Quote: I myself thought he was well portrayed in the movie (unlike Sirius. Gary Oldman is way older then Sirius is in the book at the time of PoA. So did not fit in my op), but looked a little older then I imagined. Nor did I think he was aggresive. He played the role calmly and well. But I go more by the book then anything.
I think I'm the only person who likes Gary Oldman as Sirius I loved how David Thewlis portrayed Remus in the movie My favorite parts are when he's talking with Harry in the bridge and at the end when he is at the office with Harry I think he's adorable.

I personally thought neither Lupin nor Sirius was portrayed very well in the movie. Sirius was decent, save he had too many wrinkles on his forhead (no idea why, but that gets to me). I imagined Lupin as drawn on the back of the American hardcover OotP, shabby, underfed, shoulder-length graying hair. the actor didn't look... underfed enough (not calling him fat. he's just not quite as shabby as I imagined).

Quote: About some peoples theory of "all the Marauder's will be killed in the end", I don't see the point or the need. I mean, Harry clearly stated at the end of book six that he is going to do this on his own and doesn't want to put anyone else in danger, besides his two best friends who refuse to leave his side.
Well the Order wouldn't just sit back and let Harry, Ron and Hermione do everything. They would be helping, most likely. Besides I kinda think there has to be some huge confrontation at the end. But I think I've seen to many war movies.

*claps Tanth on the back*
it's highly likely that Lupin's going to die because Sirius already did. I don't know about the Ron theory, because it's been too often predicted.

If Remus dies it's going to be very sad I don't know if Ron is going to die. I think not.

I mean he is apart of the order and so Mrs. Weasely would keep a careful eye on them all, espceically Remus I suppose. Quote: Well the Order wouldn't just sit back and let Harry, Ron and Hermione do everything. They would be helping, most likely. Well of course they wouldn't. But in the end it's Harry Voldie wants and the hero must be Harry in the end, if any hero at all. In many ways, this is his battle because it all started with his scar, his parents dying. I mean sure, Voldie was powerful before and it originally started as wiping out all the mudbloods, but the current position of things, one of them, Harry or Voldie has got to go and they will confront each other obviously.
I don't dislike the way Remus was portrayed in the movies. It was good. But I'm not one to care for the movie version as much. Book fan! I recently found out that Gary Oldman is born in 1958. I mean think logically... Sirius is born in 1960. But the Prisoner takes place in 1993. So Garry is older than Sirius by 12 years.
years!!!!! *hateshpmoviemakers*
Here's some pics of what Sirius might have looked like after escaping Azkaban:

I thought they both didn't look the part but I still thought they potrayed them well.
I was watching Merlin last night and I just released that Sam Neill is so how I picture Lupin.

Ela, your right --- he does look like Lupin! He would be good for the "worst memory" scene in OotP

I haven't seen Sam act, so I can't say. But he looks pretty good.

^ You havn't seen Jurrasic Park??
I'm not saying he would have portrayed Lupin better - not being Brittish he couldn't have been in it - I just think that with long hair he looks almost eactly how I picture Lupin.

Glad someone agrees with me Though he's slightly on the old side for that Oh does anyone know if they've cast a young Lupin yet? Any suggestions for him if they havn't?
