I am getting PS and PSP as well as a wacom Tablet, i was wonderign if you guys had any good tips or tricks for someone just startign out with these programs.

Well I never used Tablets so I can´t be much of help there... for PS try Oro´s tutos somewhere in this section, and for PSP Arwen´s tuto on the main AU page.
