Rogue and Leygh talked quietly in their room, that they shared. The two of them were close ever since Leygh had arrived at the mansion, and both were not really looking forward to the next few weeks.

Hai had now copyed Io's power completly. she caused a small rain storm above Io's head, then fell over in another fit of giggles.

Scott stood at the doorway to the garage. He scanned over all the various vehicles and spotted his new bike. He began to walk over to it and looked back at the doorway. Turning back to his bike he put his bag in the small luggage compartment and stradled the hulking bike. Gunning the engine he turned the motorbike out of the garage and out to the driveway. The large metallic gates opening outward to let him go onwards.

Back inside the Mansion Storm was with the Professor in his study. She had just missed Scott leave by mere minutes. She wished he'd stayed on, but she understood. Jean was like a sister to her, she missed her greatly with each passing day.

"You seem contemplative Ororo." Xavier broke the sombre silence.

"I was thinking about Scott. He's not been himself since Jean...left us" Storm seemed to choke on the last two words. "Do you think he'll be okay? I mean..it's been almost a year and he's not been on any missions or done any training in the Danger Room"

"This is a difficult process for him. He and Jean were together for a very long time. If this is what he needs to do to move forward and rebuild his life, then it is beneficial" Xavier explained his reasons for not objecting to Scotts leave of absence.

"I do understand. I just wish he'd let us in. Let us help him"

Io stood up quickly now, no one, No One turned her own power against her. Summoning a huge wet fog to engulf the room she quickly transformed into an ice otter, then sent dagggers of ice that pinned Hai to the floor, and a ball of boiling hot water to hover over her head. She crept up over to her and growled "never do that agin"

Hai who is very smart, copyed one of her buddy's power. the power of fire. she melted the ice that pined her then grilled Io. but not much just enough to make her feel pain. then she ran out of the room and into Rogue and Leygh's room slaming the door behind her. "Hide me! she's after me!" she said.

Scott had reached the border. Wouldn't be long till he was close to Alkali Lake. He'd have to ditch his bike and walk the rest of the way. "Give me time to clear my head a little" he thought aloud.
Parking his bike off road, he looked around trying to find his bearings.
The images of the dreams that had been haunting him the past few months now were getting stronger. Dismounting his large bike, he began to trudge forward. To the lake that became her resting place.

Io snarled, and against her better judgement, sent ice scciding down the corridors after the girl, then changed from an Ice Otter into a large polar bear, snapping her jaws

Storm had been making her way along the Mansion corridors after her brief meeting with Professor Xavier. She thought she would check on some of the students. Thinking this would take her mind off of things. Suddenly her thoughts became disturbed by a large Polar Bear crashing through the corridor.
"By the Goddess!" she exclaimed and deftly as she dodged, she mentally summoned a large cloud cover
"Stop right there" Ororos voice was strong and proud. She commanded respect without ever demanding it.

Outside of the mansion, one man was trying to get in the house. He asked for Professor Xavier when he entered to the first one he saw. He was told to follow the corridor. So he did. Before he even had a chance to approach the door, he was flown away by some sort of force. He was crushed into the wall and fainted.

Io stopped, and sunndenly rembered what she was doing. Swiftly she turned back into an Ice Otter and tried to scuttel under the woman legs down the coridor

"I said stop!" Ororo stated forcefully, but never raising her voice.
Her eyes slowly turning white, she created a wall of small tornadoes, blocking the path.
"I wouldn't advise trying to get past. Either side. Now, return to your human form please."

Io shrugged her tail and resumed her human form, but kept her power on hand. She stood mutely before Ororo

"Where are you going in such a hurry?" Storm asked.
"You could have hurt someone using that form, please. Be careful next time." she finished with a soft smile.
The tornados still whirling in the background.

Io was taken aback, she'd expected to be punished. Yet now she had to face an uncomfortable question. Should she tell on Hali? " i'm sorry, i'd left some of my books down stairs and i was annoyed about it....may i go and get them?"she asked meekly. But inside she told herself she would get even with Hali
