Devina shrugged childishly and lokked out the window "I know Jack... I knew his father, and let me tell yoou- they are just the same. just the same." Satisfied with that as an answer she pushed her empty plate away from herself.

The fact that Jack was there caused the slaves to stop what they were doing and go over to the cage- poking their fingers at him and swearing, laughing and/or joking in their own languages.

Jack's face was a sight to see. The expression on his face was a cross between irritating, craziness, anger and annoyance all rolled into one.
If one more of those slaves poked him in the rib he swore he would break it off like a twig. "Bloody! Get the blazes away from 'ere ye..." He continued, but it's best that his words to them were not written down.

This somehow this made the slaves laugh evermore, and they discovered the delights of throwing mouldy sugar cane at him.
