I'm a mod (well, not exactely. I lead a reading club that's very inactive  ) on a forum that's much like this one. I can do all the things Rowan said, but I can't ban members. But I guess that's just because I'm not a real mod. I like playing with the superior buttons, though.

People who we ban in the forum tend to be people who have links to *beep* sites as their website. Usually they don't post though there have been one or 2 that have.
Off hand I can't think of anyone (yet ) who's been banned for other reasons in the new forum. _________________

^yeah, that's why I used this smily, because I knew they'd never tell us what they talk about.
(this is getting really off subjuct, it was titled Things I Wish I Knew, and now we're talking about the classified top secret moderator meetings. . .let's try to get back onto the subject, though that might be hard to do, since talking about the mod meetings seems addicting!  ) _________________
