This RPG will be based on the Wheel of time series. Anyone can join, but PLEASE DON'T POST ANYTHING THAT COMES AFTER BOOK TWO! This is because I am only on book three and I don't want any spoilers. So please be nice. This RPG will take place after Rand has proclaimed himself the Dragon Reborn. We will just make up our on story from that on.
Heres my char. bio:
Name: Niara
Gender: female
Race: Aiel)
Clan:Tardaad
Sept:Nine Valleys
Society: Far Dareis Mai
Age: 20
Appearance: medium heighth, slim, reddish/blonde hair that is cut short except for a tail that comes to her upper back, gray eyes, fair skin, usually wears clothes that blend easily with the environment and a black veil over her face when in battle
Personality: brave, adventurous, kind
Skills/powers: excellent fighter, channeling, foretelling (off and on)
Weapons: spear, bow, hunting knife
History:Soon after she was born she knew she wanted to be Far Dareis Mai. She was never able to know either of her parents. When she was fifteen she pledged herself to the Far Dareis Mai. She was honored for her fighting skills. But soon after her fiftennth birthday she found that she could channel the One Power. She knew that if others found out she might have to leave the Maidens to go to RHuidean to be a Wise One. So she kept it a secret.
Niara walked slowly around the Aiel desert. After a battle with Trollocs she was separated from the other Maidens of the Spear. Now she stalked quietly hoping she would not face anymore. Although she knew that she could fight them successfully even if she was out numbered. "The One Power", she thought reluctantly. She had discovered when she was only 15 that she could channel and had used her skill in only the worst situations. She kept it a secret because she feared that she would be forced to leave the Maidens. Now she embraced Saidar, ready for anything.
While she was walking she could not help but to think about everything that was going on in other parts of the world. Someone else had just proclaimed himself the Dragon. He could channel and it was said that he fought the Dark One himself in the sky over Falme. Niara shook her head. The Breaking of the World was close at hand.
You can play your own characters or characters from the books. Just find a way to bring them into the story.
If our original charries join the ones from the book I will also be playing Nynaeve.

Okay that sounds great! If you get through like half of the first book or enough to where I want have to spend a long time explaining some of the kind of complicated things to you, you can PM me and I will describe what is going on without giving any major spoilers so that you can join. I wish more people have read them. I really want to have this RPG !
Anyways, they are a really great series. If you love fantasy (which I assume you do, since you obviously love LotR) then you will love them. I am reading the fourth one right now.

Muahaha. Aerandir has obtained and finished Knife of Dreams, Book 11 of the series. It's awesome. Just so you all know, The 12th and Final Book is going to be called Memory of Light. Pretty cool title.
So, Elarinya. Are we in the Aiel Waste right now? Or are we in Tear?

Aerandir- We are in the Aiel Waste. Btw, I edited my last post, just so you know. You're character can meet up with my character and we could travel to Tear and meet Rand and the others. You can also I play a character from the book, if you want. I decided I wanted to play Nynaeve in addition to my original character. I'm actually reading where they are in Rhuidean now, but when I first posted they were still in Tear and so we can just pretend they're still there.
pip&leggyluvr- Even though you have not read the books yet, you can make up your own character and we could meet him/her in Tear or in the waste.
Btw- The main characters from the book (Rand, Egwene, Nynaeve, Lan, Perrin, Faile, Moiraine, Mat, Thom, etc.) are in the Stone of Tear.

hmmm....can we have two characters? I think I'd like to play a Malkieri Blademaster too, as in, one other than Lan.
Malkijah shifted his hunting knife at his belt - it was getting uncomfortable. As the wind swept across the dry land, he noticed the figure in the distance, hardly visible in the greys and browns of her cadin'sor. After the recent battle with the Trollocs, Niara had gone off away from the rest of their band, perhaps unnerved by a rather close encounter she'd had in taking on a Myrddraal. Fighting one of the Eyeless Ones rarely resulted in victory. Kharon, the only other male Aiel in the party, and also the only other Stone Dog, had been killed in that last skirmish. But, one thing that should always be followed in war - say a prayer for the dead and move on. He started trudging across the dry ground to the lone figure, making no noise, as per Aiel style.

I was just wondering whatever happened to this RPG and now I found it! I'm gonna post IC and if anyone else is still interested join in! Aerandir- you can defintiely play two characters.
By chance, Niara glanced over her shoulder. She gave a start and readied a weave that would make a fireball before she realized that the figure following her was Aiel. Malkijah, a Stone Dog. She released the Source and approached him. "I see you Malkijah," she said, "You have also been separated from the others?"

"I have not been separated - they are not far away," Malkijah replied. "You are disturbed," he stated as a blunt fact. "Are you worried about your life as a Maiden?" He knew that that was certainly not the main thing that bothered her, though it might have something to do with it. A life not following Ji'e'toh would be untolerable. "You danced the spears well, and there is one less Eyeless One to strike fear into the hearts of lesser people," he said, not sure exactly how to comfort her. "The other Maidens are worried for you, though they try not to show it. You have not been yourself lately."
I thought this had died - wow.
I'll come up with another character bio, Elarinya, and get myself a blademaster, though I suppose if they're supposed to meet up with Lan & Co., he can't really be Malkieri.

Yeah me too.
Just whenever you have time you can bring in your second character. No rush.
If you want to play a Malkieri, you could always be Lan when we meet up with them.
BTW- I'm not really going to follow how the books go. Instead of having them separate like they do in the beginning of the fourth books, I'll probably think of something different so they can all be together. It will amke things less complicated.
"I have been thinking about things," Niara replied as she bowed her head sadly. "Although it shames me to say it, I am worried." She lifted her head and met Malkijah's eyes.

Darn I accidentally closed the page before I was done posting. Since the edit button isn't there anymore, I am just going to continue from where I left off.
"I do not plan to reunite with the other Maidens," she said sadly,"I am leaving the Three Fold Land. I am leaving in search of the Car'a'carn, He Who Comes With the Dawn." After a moment she added, "If you wish, you may accompany me."

Okay, I'm going to bring this character in later, but I'll post his bio now.
Name: Dyne Faril
Age: 25
Nationality: Domani
Phys. Appearance: Approximately 6 feet tall, with brown skin and shoulder-length black hair, and brown eyes.
Weapons: Slightly curved heron-mark sword(made with the One Power), and a horsebow in front of his saddle.
Background: Dyne was born in Arad Doman, and unlike most people of his country, he and his father soon left their land, wandering around the known world for almost as long as he can remember, meaning since he was around six years old. His father died when he was around 19, leaving him to wander alone. Throughout his wanderings, though, he has fought under the banners of several countries against a variety of foes, but especially shadowspawn. He is a blademaster, though he hasn't been for long, having been voted to the position by five blademasters, which generally earned more respect than having killed a blademaster, since a knife in the back can kill many people, and how many people would believe that he had killed a blademaster in fair combat? He is also unusually proficient with a bow compared to the others of his country, but he prefers the sword.
Malkijah's eyes widened slightly, though it was evidence of only a fraction of the surprise he felt. "In search of the Car'a'carn?" he asked slowly. His face hardened again, and he nodded. "I will accompany you," he said finally. "I have no need to gather more supplies, if you are ready to go now, we are able."

"I am ready to go," she said turning and beginning to walk. After a moment she said, "I am glad to have your company. I do not enjoy being alone." She hoped she had not shamed herself, but she was gald that someone else would be with her. She had never been to the wetlands before. Suddenly three Trollocs came out of nowhere right in front of them. She thrust her spear into the nearest Trolloc and prepared to do it again. Even though it would be quicker to use the One Power, she decided that with only three Trollocs and one other person to aid her it would be better just to keep her secret.

Malkijah's spear was in motion seconds after seeing the first Trolloc, having caught their scent a second before. The beast screamed, the spear pinning it to the ground, as Malkijah grabbed another of his short stabbing spears. Before he had time to spear the last Trolloc, though, an arrow pierced its throat, from the back. Hearing the thudding of hooves on the hard-packed dirt of the Three-fold land, Malkijah looked up, wondering who it was who had fired. What he saw was not what he expected. It was a rider on a horse as he thought, but instead of a peddler, it was a dark-skinned man with a sword at his side, a bristling quiver in front of his saddle, and a horsebow in his hands. No less on guard than when the Trollocs appeared, Malkijah snatched his spear out of the Trolloc he had felled, and held it in his hand ready to throw at the rider. Seeing that the Trollocs were dead, the man lowered his horsebow, putting in its case opposite the quiver in front of his saddle. Raising his hands enough so that both Aiel could see them, the man spoke. "Peace! I mean you no harm. I am called Dyne Faril, and I am a wanderer. I've been tracking that," he gestured with his hands, "group of Trollocs for a while. They were the survivors of a group I destroyed for killing some of my sword-brothers. If you wish it, I will leave your Three-fold land now." Malkijah couldn't resist staring at the man. He had destroyed a party of Trollocs? Who was he that three Trollocs fled from him, when they felt fear only from Myrddraal and a certain few others. Then he noticed the heron engraved on the hilt of the man's sword. "You are what is called a Blademaster?" he asked slowly. "Aye, I am that," the man said, grinning. At what, Malkijah had no idea. What Wetlanders thought was funny often puzzled the Aiel.
-----------------------------
Seeing the Aiel man glancing uncertainly at him only made Dyne grin more. Aiel humor took getting used to, but they could not comprehend 'common' humor. Of course, he hadn't been thinking of a joke or anything, but instead he had been thinking of how unusual it was for a Domani to be a Blademaster. The Maiden was watching him intently, her eyes full of distrust, as well they might be - since Laman's Sin and the Aiel War, they had little tolerance for those they called "Wetlanders." However, he would stake a lot that this pair had not seen a Domani before.
So....Dyne's been introduced, and I have to work out some way for him to accompany Malkijah and Niara out of the Waste.
