^Yeah, I know -- I got stuck with a little one.
And yes! One of my favorite lines in LWW: "By gum, the sea!"
I love those little sayings, or whatever they're called.

I like the actors they cast as the older versions of the kids. They look so much like the young ones!

I liked the score, and I thought the movie was really good too.

Whoa, okay...would you mind telling us why you hated it? Why you thought the acting wasn't good? I mean, it's okay if people don't like it, they politely stated why. It just slightly bothers me when someone crashes in, coming very close to bashing.
I would really love to hear your opinion!

I agree with her, so I can explain for myself. I thought the acting was...somewhat pathetic. I never forgot that they were actors and actresses through the whole movie. The way they changed it REALLY irked me and the way they redid it made me even MORE furious. I really have to agree when LadyoftheWood said its a LOTR wanna be. I mean, the costumes and the weapons? The characters and camps, and EVERYTHING seemed like a LOTR immitation.

Well, as far as ther art department went I didn't expect anything less. Both Tolkien & Lewis found inspiration in similar ideas, although both developed them in very different ways and with different purposes. And the same art department was in charge in both movies, so I expected to see some sort of similarity; again, just my personal thoughts.

Yeah, it really stinks to see changes made, but I think they were necessary. Book plots, most of the time, can't be turned into a movie word for word -- the plot flow just wouldn't always work on screen. But I agree in that some changes might have been unnecessary.
As Eruadan said, I think there's a reason that they're similar. Though I'm glad that Adamson didn't try to make Narnia just like LotR. The stories are very different, and I'm glad he made the movie with that in mind. When watching it, I felt a vibe and feeling come over me, different from LotR.
