I hope it hasn't died. Sorry for not posting, my computer crashed, and I still probably won't be able to post except on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until the computer is repaired.

Sahrai felt a bit of surprise at Viree's question. "I have felt that something was wrong since we arrived on the planet. When we go on our way to stop whoever is leading the Maedan, I'd stake a lot on the fact that it won't be an easy fight." He paused for a minute, then continued. "Fortunately, I doubt anyone will take me up on my wager, which is good, because I don't have a lot to stake."
He caught another shadow of pain through the Force, and sighed. "Come on, Viree, I know you're in pain - you need to get that wound looked at. You'll do no good on the mission with your side ripped up. I want you to at least put a bacta patch on it, okay?" At the lack of a response, he grinned. "That's an order."

Viree13 grins cheekily. "An' I'm no longer a Jedi, so I don't have t'take orders from you...." Her eyes glitter ever so slightly. "But you make good sense, so I will aquiesce this time...." She shifts her weight slightly and then continues. "So you've noticed it as well?.... Something, or someone is lurking around here, and it's not on our side, whatever it is...."

Viree13 nods slightly. "Alright.... I'm surprised you have not noticed it......How else would the Maedan know exactly when all the officials would be together.... And how to get to them.... The conference, it could've been a trap...... In fact, I'm positive it was a trap...." Her eyes glitter darkly as the lights bounce off their flat black surface.....

Flat eyes? As in, squarish eyes or something, or am I just interpreting that wrong? Sorry, but it's a little confusing.

"It most likely was a trap, but whoever it was obviously wasn't counting on us to figure out that they were trying to stall us before the trap was sprung. That's why Daaron's on the way - we're going to hit them before they expect it." Sahrai grimaced. "As to why I didn't sense it, that was because I was being a fool and got so caught up in wondering about the distant presence I didn't even think about whether there were any nearby ones."
The last words were still coming out of his mouth when two figures clad in black came around the corner. "I can sense them now, though," Sahrai said as he pulled out his lightsabers. Viree's ignited at almost the same time, his Orange blades and her Blue ones casting a contrasting light on the Red blades ignited by the two men. "At least they only have one blade each," Sahrai said, moving into the starting position for the Jar'kai (dual-sword) fighting style.

Let these guys live a little while please, Luinnar, they're meant to be a tough fight - besides, I want to kill one.

(Okay, 'flat black surface' means that they take in all the light and do not have any light of their own, unless they shine or glitter..... Her eyes are almond-shaped black, penetrating pools..... lol You can have one, I guess..... lol)

Viree13 almost laughs with pleasure, the pain in her side disappearing at the thought of a fight. Her twin lightsaber blades slide out simultaneous to Sahrai's, and she drops into a fighting crouch, weapons at the ready. "This oughta be fun...." A malevolent smile spreads across her face as her thoughts turn inwards to the Force within her.....

Okay, comprendo.

As the two men continued forward, Sahrai leaped up, spinning as he did so in a way that his feet hit the roof first. As soon as they touched he pushed off, heading towards the floor but angled towards the men. He relaxed to avoid any injuries on impact, rolling forward with his lightsabers slashing out. Red and Orange lightsabers met with a shower of sparks, and he was dimly aware of one of the red lightsabers pulling away to counter a pair of dark-blue ones.

"Yes?" Y'Garam looked expectantly at her.
na'Tatha swallowed before saying, "I've been contacted by General di'Mano, who, I believe, is contemplating a coup of his own."
The defense associate sighed. "You'd better tell me everything you know."

Viree13 smiles as the second dark-clothed opponent rushes towards her, dissolving at the last minute, only to reappear in another place to attack her foe. Pain arches across her face and she whirls to block the red saber, but she holds firm, forcing the other one back into the wall. Viree13 dissolves again, but shocks of pain reverberate throughout the Force, interceptible only by Sahrai, her mind blocked to the entrance of her opponents....

After a second or two elapses, and her opponent moves out from the wall, she lets herself flicker all around him, smirking wickedly at him. When he turns to the left, she negotiates around behind him and reappears, stabbing him right through the center of the back with her twin sabers.....

Viree13 nods slightly, her dark eyes hooded over as she slumps back against the wall, letting her sabers flick off. "Yeah... Whatever you say....." Blood trickles down her side onto the floor from her newly-torn open wound......

(Aerandir, for future reference, please don't kick anybody in the chest. Why? Because it doesn't do any damage whatsoever. Try for the solar plexus, which is under the diaphragm, just under the ribcage.)

After hearing na'Tatha's story, Y'Garam leaned back in his chair, steepling his fingers. He considered the situation for a few minutes, then said, "For the moment, Subcommander, I think it would be best if you played along. I leave it to your discretion as to how far you'll take your actions; you know, of course, that it is your duty to report anything that may be a threat."
"I have never forgotten, sir."
"And I have confidence in you. Dismissed."
na'Tatha headed through the corridors to her quarters, deep in thought - which was abruptly interrupted as she turned a corner and found black-clothed bodies on the ground, being inspected by two weary Jedi. More footsteps sounded down the corridor - Taarin security arriving on the scene. She eyed the tableau cooly. "This looks ... interesting."
