no since balrogs as cratures of fire cannot suffer any liquid to passs into thier bodies and so would die if thay drank anything

Yeah I thought that as well.. But what DOES a Balrog eat to survive in the mines of Moria?
He can't eat Orcs, for they are animals, and animals ( just like human) have a lot of liquid in their body...
