Has anyone read the Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans? Its about a young girl and her horse who get into a terrible accident and the girl ends up losing a leg and the horse gose crazy. Her mom finds a cowboy, Tom Booker to help and he eventually suceeds and the mom and him fall in love (but the mom's married!)

The best part of it was the determination Tom had to help the girl and her horse, though the horse wouldn't let him come near him, they eventually won his trust. :-D

I've read the Horse Whisperer and I really like it... especially the way how someone can "help" horses to cope with their trauma

the Horse Whisperer is definitely a wonderful book. Most of the time I prefer fantasy, but a book like this is also great! Good story, great characters, and wonderful gifts!

I've heard of it once... I think a friend of mine read it. She didn't really like it, but I haven't read it, so I can't really comment. :P It sounds good, though. Perhaps my friend was wrong.

I like this story, of course I'm not obsessed with it like with LotR, but it's a nice story.

I loved this book! Being about horses and all. They also made a movie of it, which was good, they changed the ending completely though, Booker didn't die in the movie. Which is good, i didn't like how he died in the book, it was to sudden, like he couldn't be bothered writing it anymore or something.....

I'm glad they changed the ending, but was the romance between Tom and Annie still there or did they change it too?
