Whatever, back to HP. I hope Harry strangles Snape with his bare hands, and can watch the life pour from his eyes. Sweet.

Unless Harry kills Snape in the midst of battle I doubt he'll kill him at all. Fantasy authors (particularly children's authors) try to avoid their hero killing anyone out right unless it's the evil overlord who's become so unhuman they don't count. It seems to be generally thought that once the hero starts killing anyone in cold blood then they are no better than the villian.

I don't think that they will kill each other at all. Maybe I live in ilusion, but I still think that Snape is on the good side and that Dumbledore is alive. I know that I'm not the only one beacuse I've read a bunch of clues on one of the sites. If I remember that site, I will post the link later.

^ is it this one? http://www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com/

While I do think that Dumbledore is dead I agree that there was more too it than Harry thinks. I'm fairly sure that Snape was acting under Dumbledore's instructions and is really on the good side.

LOL!! Yes, that was the site.
I only believe that Sirius is dead. But I'm quite sure that Dumbledore isn't. Well, as sure as I can be... And there is something in those clues about Snape. They just sound realistic, even more then the clues about Dumbledore.
Guess that we'll all just have to wait till next summer to finally get to know what's really going on =P

Wow! This thread is really interesting! I have a feeling that I'll be spending a lot of time here from now on... :-D
I, too, believe that Dumbledore is still alive, and that there is still some good in Snape. They are two really key characters...I can't see the books without them as they were! And I really hope that Harry doesn't die!

I really don't think Dumbledore is alive. But I'm not completely sure Snape is evil.

Exactly!! I think I posted something about this earlier, hold on...

Here it is:

Larael wrote:
Yay! Yay! Yay! Okay, I have just come up wtih solid semi-solid proof supporting the whole "Snape is still good" theory. Most of super, super die hard HP fans will have probably already figured all this out, but I am quite pround of myself and I'd like to share it.

Sorry if my explanation is a tad confusing...

Okay... *deep breath*

Snape takes the Unbreakable Vow saying that he will do whatever he can to help Malfoy murder Dumbledore, even if he has to kill Dumbledore himself. [All of you know this of course.]
Later, Hagrid mentions to Harry that Snape and Dumbledore were arguing and that it sounded like Snape didn't want to do something, but Dumbledore told him it had to be done.
Here I will assume that Snape told Dumbledore about the Unbreakable Vow, and what Malfoy must do. I also assume that they both know that Malfoy will not go through with it and that Snape may end up killing Dumbledore instead.
Snape does not wish to do this but Dumbledore knows it must be done.
In the end, when Snape is about to kill Dumbledore, he [Dumbledoree] sees Snape hesitating, and he says "Please Severus." He is not pleading for his life, he just wants Snape to do it.

So, Snape was practically acting on Dumbledore's orders.

*is proud of herself*

Feel free to contradict me but this is what I believe!

^ Yup I totally agree with that. Just to add to it - it would be totally out of character for Dumbledore to beg Snape for his life. All through the books Dumbledore tries to show both Harry and Voldey that death isn't the worst thing that could happen to a person. He says that to Voldy when he confronts him in book 5. So Dumbledore isn't going to plead for his own life - it would go against every thing he's ever said. This is especially so as he knows that doing so would lead to Snape's death (because of the unbreakable vow)

Dumbledore saying "Severus...please..." is the #1 reason why I believe that Snape is not evil. DD would not beg for his life.
