"is it a rat?"
just after red said that a little herd of about 4 winged creatures smelled the blood of their kin and rushed to attack the group of humans....
red heard a faint roar and smacked the rump of the horse to make it gallop back to the castle with Ithil on it's back....

"hm..." he took off the pack and looked at the head of what was sticking out. "oh that just Tod, my ferrit..." he stopped, and put the pack down. Taking out his sword, he looked tward Red who seemed buisy with the flying things. Drake came up behind the first one and knocked it down, by pushing it, then stabbed it through with his sword...

Red flung at the first one with all his might and chopped off his head.. he had got the hang of killing these things the next one clawed his leg.. immediatly blood rushed to his leg.. he shouted in anger and in pain and lunged once more and killed it.. he hoped that drake and Ithil were doing better than he was..

(Drakes right there with you! he took one out!)
The last creature turned to Drake. He put up a defensive stance with his sword. The winged creature attacked with his claws. Drake slash out and cut off one of the creatures claws, green blood poored out, some splashing on him.
The creature screamed out in pain. Drake gave a final slash, and cut off it's head...

Reluctantly red stood up and said "We better get back to the castle to ensure the safety of you know who..." he looked at Ithil... "mabe i'l check out some records of ancient creatures when we get back to the castle.." he muttered to himself

Drake shook his head, letting green creature blood fly everywere. "And maybe I could get washed up a little. I feel like I took a shower with that things blood." He said...

Red nodded back at Ithil and nudged her up on the horse... "i wonder if Sinclaire can carry three people today..." Sinclaire groaned... "fine... you'll just carry Ithil then.." Red started to run through the woods swiftly and Sinclaire followed with Ithil on his back..

Ithil glanced back, to see Drake running behind them. She couldn't help but notice his trong, muscualr build and his hazel eyes. Ithil quickly shook her head. "Oh no," she thought, "you are NOT going to fall in love with him.....he doesn't even like you, anyway!!"

Drake finally caught up to them, and joged next to Red, then switched to the other side of the horse. He needed to protect Ithil... by comand of the king...

Ithil glanced at Drake, who was running beside her. She couldn't help but notice those gosh-darn-beautiful-hazel eyes.........again. She turned away, & focused on the road ahead. She silently cursed her father. Of all the people to protect, her of ALL the people, he had to go off & pick some stupid, strong, stubborn, hot-headed, conceaded, idiot like Drake, to "protect" her.

They finally reached the castle(?) and Drake went to the stable to give Granit, his horse, some treats...
