Honestly Haldir, what's the obsession with getting a huge post count? It's almost like as if you're spamming the forum now (probably without realizing it) only to get your posts up and that isn't really what this forum is for, now is it? They just changed the rules and settings of the board because people were spamming the Misc. Randomness section and they certainly didn't do that for people to be spamming the rest of the board. We will all get our post counts back soon. There is absolutely no need for any of us to be invading every single thread or club in the meantime. When people post simply to post, their entries don't really bring much to the conversation.

Just my humble opinion!

The first few sentences were directed towards you but the rest was just speaking in general about the sudden increase of people posting in all these threads that were never an interest to them before.

I never said I didn't care about the post counts, I'm still over 2,000 posts short but I don't post in all these threads complaining about it nor talking about how I should increase my post count. Considering you seem a tad bit upset that you might not be able to post that much during the summer to up your posts I would say that is a tad bit on the obsessive side. But that's just my opinion...

So.. just because you weren't talking to me means I can't talk to you? Alrighty then!

is it a crime to be upset that i cant visit AU over the summer? and is it wrong to make a joke about my posts? i dont really care about posts! i still post on the miscellaneous randomness, if you really havent noticed! oh well ... i really dont care. you are entitled to your own opinion.

Peace, baby. I think no posts count increase when you post on that board is a good idea. I just go there to see what people think of my graphics, since I just got into making them myself I like to get feedback on my work. I like to colpliment other users works too.

Of course there's nothing wrong with typing or joining clubs. We're here at the forum to discuss, so it's great that you're getting involved around A-U!

But it's not okay to join clubs/communities simply to boost your post count. That's awesome that you're still involved in Misc. Randomness, but I've seen you involved in many, many other places that you weren't until recently. I think it would be wise to check your motives. While it is an honor to be top poster, it's not the number one achievment of A-U. Being a good "citezen" as I've heard you mention, doesn't always mean having the most posts.


And to be honest, I'm not 100% gleeful about loosing posts, and I'm sure Eru isn't either. But you know, it's not the end of the world, is it? Yeah, I'm a lot further down in the Top 10, but I'd rather be a member with quality posts than top poster.

We're talking about observations and ideas. Three, keep these things in mind and try not to get your feelings hurt!

not sure about that .... i know i was slightly overreacting about the post thing, but so were a lot of other people! and i think everyone's just prejudiced against me because i joined less than two months ago and i have a few thousand posts ... so should i stop posting maybe?

Well, yes. But that's not my point, really. But as previous top poster, I think that shows you've made your way around a couple times.


I would be extremely discouraged to hear if a member was prejudice against you because you posted fast.
I was all for you being top poster.

All I'm saying is that everyone should check what their motives are in posting.
I guess I just mentioned your name since you'd been talking a lot about "gaining posts" and had advised me to just join a bunch of clubs to regain posts.
