Marie turned around. "C'mon," she said, taking her arm and moving faster up the stairs. They reached her room, and she opened the door. "Here we are," she said, "Sorry if it looks like a library..." She had a whole bookshelf full of books, novels, almanacs, atlases....along with two globes and a radio. She sat down on the bed and said, "So..."

Marie burst out laughing. "Yeah...it's like constantly looking into a mirror...." She decided to take a stab at conversation. "So, er....Dad takes you on a lot of his excavations and adventures, huh? Lucky. I've always been fascinated by it..." she said, looking around. "History's always been my passion."

Marie laughed again and sat down next to her sister, smiling broadly. "Okay - then let me ask this: is he stubborn, headstrong..." she looked at the ceiling, one eyebrow raised in concentration, "A bit sarcastic at times, funny in a strange way, a bit reckless....and does he have a tendency to get himself into situations? Like, brilliant but a bit....scatterbrained?"
