So, I was listening to Mugglecast #41 and they were talking about the possibility that Dobby and Hagrid might know some important info told to them by Dumbledore.

I think it's a possibility because all throughout the book Dumbledore says he would trust Hagrid with his life, so why not trust him with valuable information?

Okay, I think I'm going to have to contradict myself now. Hagrid would actually be a bad kind of keeper of secrets because he's so vulnerable. Give him a couple of drinks and he'll spill everything.

Dobby on the other hand would keep anything a secret even if he was tortured or threatened. It makes me wonder if Dobby knows something about Dumbledore that we don't when he says [while at Hogwarts] that he will keep his masters secret's well or something along those lines.

So, what do you all think?

I agree with you that Hagrid would be a really bad person to trust with a secret - just look at book 1. But then again Dubledore has a habit of trusting people others don't and as Hagrid said "he gives them second changes" I'm not sure about Dobby though - I never got the impression that Dumbledore really knew Dobby. Then again the line about masters secrets is interesting

I do think that Dumbledore would have left information with someone though. If (as I think) Snape is really good and it was planned then surely he'd leave information for Harry and the Order. For one thing he wouldn't want them to assume Snape was evil. I think it'll be with someone who wasn't around to tell Harry the info at the end of book 6 - maybe Moody, we do know that they are (were *sniff*) good friends.

After some more thought I decided that any kind of secrets Dumbledore might have left with Dobby are probably not ones that would involve anything super important, such as things concerning the Order, Harry, etc.

Moody would be a very good candidate for being a kind of secret keeper. Maybe even Lupin... I dunno... but he definitely left info with someone.

^i'd say lupin ... he's proved to be really trustworthy

Hmmm....Dumbledore leaving information. Probably. But why does everything always have to depend on Dumbledore....man, my likeness for this man has seriously waned. But it's very likely that he left some information....

Anyways. I've had a thought. I was talking with Larien and some how we randomly stumbled upon the topic of dear Voldemort. Oh yeah, I thought she had written something that said something about Voldemort. Like she has him or a copy of him. In which I said, if she actually did I would drive to her house (in the middle of the night) and steal him from her...and then congratulating her on actually keeping him in her possession. She said she'd have to congratulate herself too but she wouldn't let him touch her. But that's all backstory.

And I said, "Awww....I'd give him a great big hug." And then that sparked my imagination. That got me to thinking, what would happen if someone actually gave our dear Voldemort a HUG? Honestly. That would be SO bizarre to see him being hugged! I mean, an honest, loving hug! Larien said what I was thinking...that he'd explode (*tear*). And then I was like...well, what if that's how Harry defeats Voldemort? By giving him a hug? A true, loving hug?! Of course, Harry would die too...being in the middle of the blast. I don't know what would possess Harry to do such a thing, because I don't really see him capable of doing that....but I think there's a lot more to be revealed between those two in this last book.

*takes deep breath* Okay. Well, that's my theory. Yay for hugs!!!!!!
