Jack kept running except it felt more as if he were running in a bad dream. He found himself tripping about everyway pace he took. Apparently the kicks to his stomach hadn't helped the hangover he was having from last night.
Suddenly, he lost his footing on a loose stone in the corridor which gave him a good harsh twist to his ankle. He could've sworn he heard something pop but he kept running, well, more of a hobble run than anything more. "Bloody..." was all Jack could say at the moment.

Destiny heard Jack and she looked over her shoulder to him, while running. She quickly grabbed his hand, so he could keep up with her. "Come on, Jack! You can make it!" She yelled to him. She was scared to death for him. They were almost to the exit.

Devina swung the exit-door open forcefully, and ushered her two 'friends' to hurry up. For once even she seemed on the edge, her eyes wild, her face pale. The night air blew over her back as she watc hed Jack and Portia run ever closer.

"They are getting away" Commodore yelled to the soldiers as he exit the prison after them. "You fools go after them" he said. Commodore was happy after because the port was surrounded already since the day Jack was caught. There were soldiers everywhere the prisoners needed to fly over the soldiers.

Jack heard another crack in his ankle. Apparently he did fracture it back there on that bloody rock. He cringed his face and clenched his jaw, "Stop Desinty! Bloody! Stop!" He wrenched his hand away from hers and shouted, "Go on, I'll keep up..just go!"

Destiny instantly stopped running and shook her head. She stayed by his side. "No! I'm staying here!" She told him. She wasn't going to leave him, just to save her own butt. She made a rule on her ship... never leave a mate behind.

Jack frowned his eyebrows and shook his head, "Keep to the code..." He gave her an assuring look. He started to hear gunshots and shouts of more soldiers coming up from behind, "Desiny....leave..just run and I'll keep up!"

Destiny swallowed hard and then quickly nodded. "Alright... you better keep up." She told him and then started running again. Toward the ships. She knew which ship was Jack's. It was an infamous ship, for an infamous pirate. She quickly ran down the dock and got on board.

Jack watched as Destiny ran away. He inhaled deeply before pushing the pain in his ankle to continue to run. His face cringed each time his foot hit the ground. Come on Jack...it's just a bloody ankle.. he thought to himself.

Destiny continued running, until she made it to the Black Pearl. As soon as she got on, she was being smirked at, by Jack's crew. She started feeling slightly vulernable. She knew how men were and how they acted when they hadn't seen a woman for a while. She swallowed hard and backed up, slowly.
