Kim threw her hands in the air.
"Fine! Go to the Danger Room. Anything goes wrong, I deny all responsibility"

Kim stormed off back to her room, ignoring the many kids that were still wandering around the halls of the dormatory area. Getting to her room she opened the door and closed it behind her with a heavy slam.
She walked over to her bed and collpased onto it, exhausted after the fight.
"I never wanted to be a leader" she whispered aloud to herself , turned onto her side and tried to sleep.

John heard the loud bang and cringed. He opened his eyes and sat up.
"Kim..."
He slowly got up and walked up the stairs, yawning now and again. He strode up to her room and knocked lightly on the door.
"Kim?"

Kim woke up with a start, her palms were sweaty. She felt terrible.
She heard a knock at the door and heard the familiar friendly voice of John.
"Just a minute" she called out as she walked over to hand basin and turned the cold tap on.
Cupping her hands under the water she splashed her face with the cooling liquid. She reached for a towel to dry her face off. She put two hands on either side of the hand basin.
"Just a dream" she whispered as she looked up into the mirror. Kim jumped as she noticed a shadowy figure out of the corner of her eye. She spun round and no-one was there.
Cringing at her jumpiness she shook her head and made for the door and turned the handle to open it.

John looked at her with a raised brow.
"Kim? Something wrong? I could hear your door slam a mile away, with my bike going."
He smiled a little.
"Can I come in?"

Kim walked backwards to let John in.
"Sure big guy..find a seat"

She paced the floor a little before walking over to the window.
"I'm fine" she said a little muted. Turning to look at him she smiled
"Never mind me..how are you holding up? That was pretty intense out there"

He sat down on her bed feeling it bend greatly under his weight.
"Yeah it was. It was weird fighting in such conditions, the heat was just unbearable. No moisture at all."
He sighed heavily.
"At least it's over. It was pretty weird, but I've seen a lot weirder."
He cracked his neck and looked up at.
"Something wrong Kim, you seem a little tense."

Kim rubbed the back of her neck.
"It's nothing. Just stressing out because of the kids. They have absolutely zero respect for me. They think that with Xavier gone they can run around and do whatever they want too."
She slumped on the wall underneath her window..she opened her mouth to say something else. But changed her mind.
'He'll think your nuts girl' she thought to herself.

He nodded.
"Yeah well their kids aren't they? Did you respect him back then? Don't worry I'm always here to back you up. I don't think one of them would dare try anything with me."
He grined and walked over to where she was slumping and joined her.
"You want me to speak to them?"

"Nah..it's alright. You're right. They're kids being kids. I'm just tired...I'm not sleeping much lately"
She didn't meant to blurt it out, she didn't like to show weakness.
But it was out of her mouth before she could get a chance to stop it.

"Not getting enough sleep? Why?"

She grimaced and looked at him apologetically.
"It's nothing, just dreams. Don't worry about it. Like I said..just tired, stressed. It's probably all of a big nothin'"

He shrugged.
"Suit yaself. But know I'm always here to talk to."
He smiled and leaned his back closing his eyes.
"And I need to have a word with someone..."
He fell alseep but it looked as if he was just closing his eyes.

"Thanks...I'll take you up on the offer sometime. You may come to regret it though." she joked.
There was no reply and she nudged him slightly. Realising he was asleep she raised an eyebrow and smirked.
Letting one of her hands power up slightly she nudged him again.

He opened one eye and saw what she was doing. He jumped to his left away from her and breathed a sigh of relief.
"Don't ever do that again! Or I may have to fight back one day."
He smiled and sat back up.
"What did you say?"

"Dude you fell asleep on me!" she laughed, "and you need a cattle prod or something to wake you up cause gentle nudges just don't work on you"

"I was just saying..I'll have to take you up on that offer sometime"

He nodded again.
"Of course. Any time."
He slowly stood.
"Anyway I need to go find someone."
He put on a frown.
"And have a little chat..."
He started for the door.
