Alwen sat near the pond, her long brown hair dancing on the breeze. Her legs were crossed and her palms faced up. Around her flowers sprang towards the heavens. Her green eyes shifted. She couldn't focus on what she was creating. Something was wrong. Usually she felt so much peace but something was out of place. The balance of the elements had been tipped.

Not too far from where the fairies stood, Dym hovered just ouver the boughs of the trees. It was her fault that the balence was upset. She did that to things. She didn't know how, she didn't know why. She just knew it as her nature. She had destested it for nearly half her life.
But now she had accepted it. Now she loved it.
The other fairies had banished her from their presence years before, using their powers and charms to keep her out. They had tried diligently. After all, it had taken her nearly a decade to find the weakness in their barrier and force her way through.
Now she was back, and ready to wreak havoc.


(Muahahahaha! I like playing evil characters!)

Saraclya repressed a feeling of growing unease. She didn't know what it was but it was near. "Please, sisters, we have to do something! Fast! It is wrong to accuse without prrof, but I have a feeling Dym is the origin of this!"

Dym, chuckling to herself, swooped down to land on the boughs of the nearest tree -a tall oak with sweeping branches. She watched the group of fairies in silence. Her nature of darkness blended with the shadows, making her invisibile to the eye.

Dym couldn't hold herself back any longer. She swooped down from the trees, folding her black wings tightly against her body for a rapid decent. She landed in the center of the gathered group of fairies.
"Hello," she said, an amused smile playing across her face, "A barrier is only as strong as its weakest point, my old friends."

She created an invisible bariar around herself with her mind, a shield...
