"Margaret!" she cried. "Shoot..." she whispered. She thought of the symptoms - heavy cough, apparent abdominal pain.... She watched her sister for blood - if so, it was just like the Pneumonic Plague of the Middle Ages, but must've been revived with more symptoms and quicker action.

Margaret gasped between coughs. "Melanie." she cried as the pain became worse, then she coughed up some blood, accidently onto her sisters worried face.

Margaret was coughing up more blood now. "I don't want to die." she siad in between coughs. The pain wasn almost unbarible now in her stomach and chest, plus she had the horrible feeling of her temputre rising. "I coughed on Mel. Will she be alright?" She gasped again,not knowing her sister had heard.

"Bring her over here..." said Melanie, stifling a cough as she walked over. She started a fire, then tossed a few leaves in there. She then inhaled the smoke, feeling her lungs clear. "Let her inhale this.." she said. She turned to her sister, then said, "You're not going to die...and yes, I'll be fine. As long as you just inhale this smoke..."

"Don't argue, Mel." Margaret said as the smoke helped ease her syptoms. "It's a pain killer, right, um..." Margaret realised she didn't know the mans name. Or anyones besides Her best friend, Jimmy, and her sister.

Melanie raised an eyebrow, then rose and sighed. What she hadn't told anyone was that she had developed that disease - for a class in college, her final. Her professor was a bit on the...eccentric side, and had been deeply impressed, but she would never have guessed - oh, well, that didn't matter now. Point being was that no one knew, and she knew how to cure it.

Jimmy finally came into the house still completely clueless on what just happened in to Margaret and Mel. He acted as though everything was in normal running order.
He skateboarded inside and into the kitchen. In which, he yanked over the fridge then shouted, "Hey! Margaret you didn't tell me you had Dr. Pepper!" He pulled out a can, "Sweet man..sweet.."
He snapped it opened and poured the cool liquid down his throat while his head bobbed to the music in his headphones.
