Wow! That's pretty amazing. Are you a speed reader then? How do you find 100 books to read?

Honestly, how do you read that many pages per night? and how do you classify "night"?

Yes, that's true. I can read about 100 pages in an hour twenty and that's if I'm lucky. It also depends on the size of the text.

How on earth do you do that? The most books I've ever read in one day was five, and they weren't exactly long books (and I'm a fast reader ). I've only done that twice in 10 years of reading compulsively.
I probably read at a similar rate to Johnny's Fan - I read around 100 pages in an hour, on avarage. Of course, it all depends on the font sizes, complexity of language, interest and so on.
It's true I also like to speed read, and on occasion I'll skip parts (and come back and read them in detail later). My theory being I read for pleasure, so I'll read the book how I like.

As I tend to read from 2-3.30 in the morning, I have to read faster so I can finish my chapter before I'm caught!
At the moment I am trying to read the 80 works of Agatha Christie - most times they are complicated stories with lots of characters so I have to go back, try and find a certain page and re-read something. That's pretty annoying but chances are if I don't read it again I miss the plot!

I've no idea how many pages I read an hour. It really seems to depend on the book as I can read 2 Tamora Pierce books in a day usually but take a long time to read others particularly books for English Lit. If I'm enjoying a book I hate to read it fast as I think one of the greatest pleasures of reading is thinking about the story you're in the middle of and looking forward to reading some more of it.
Anyway in May I read 7 books which isn't that many for me. I struggled a bit getting into The Last Enchantment though so I read it pretty slowly.

I can read fast, but I don't like to zoom through books like that. I like to enjoy them and savor them and think about them as I read. For me, it really does depend on the difficulty level of the book. I can read the HP books quickly, because they are written at a more basic reading level than say, Jane Eyre, especially as far as sentance structure goes. There were times while reading Jane Eyre that I had to go back and read a sentance before I could truely absorb exactly what it meant. I love books like that though. C.S. Lewis is much like that as well (except for in the Narnia books).

I can do 100 pages in three miutes, but I don't like to it like that, I may miss parts, so usually about 10 minutes per 100 pages. As for having th mnay books to read, I have a small library which contained 700 books at last count, I'll post a piccy! And I'm librarians pet at my school, I get to read all the new releases early so she can catolouge them.

Well it's 4,00 spread between me and my brother (he has about 2,00) and my parents. Our dining room has two massice bookcases but we "culled" our collection a few years ago and there are a lot in the loft.
I'm reading my third book this month.

I own about 300 books. It's not much, but I don't buy the books I read - I borrow. So I don't buy books much, and people haven't really bought a lot of books for me in the past...
I've read three books so far this month, and I'm reading another two at the moment.

Well a lot of the books we've had for years so there's quite a good collection of children's books.
I've not been reading as much this month...I've been on here a lot!
