'Ello all!
And welcome, one and all, to the fan club for one of the greatest bands EVER:
3 Doors Down. 
Anyone who likes this band, loves this band, or openly worships this band (like me
) can and SHOULD join!
So, why don't we all say why we love them, what our favourite song and/or CD is. And we can just randomly talk about how cool these guys are.
So, I've been a fan ever since I heard
"Kryptonite" on the radio so many years ago. It was a strange experience, and a very odd memory, but I was just bumming around laying on my bed listening to the radio, when I heard this song that was just TOO cool.
But, it sounded familiar....you know, in that familiar way, even though you've never heard it before (am I making sense?) I just found Brad's voice to just have that sort of familiarity to it, that it draws you in and feel comforted. Like an older brother or good close friend. Am I making sense here? I'm probably just rambling.
Anyways, I immediately ran out to buy their first CD, and listened to it constantly. Totally obsessed. Well, it, along with every single one of my CDs in my CD case were stolen a few years later. TOTALLY depressed. I was too lazy and worthless to get it again...but I still listened to them as much as I could.
Then, when their second CD came out, I again...heard them on the radio...having no idea they were releasing a second album. I heard the song, and was like, "God, that voice sounds sooooo familiar. That music...I know this..." until finally it hits me, and I'm sitting in the car screaming and scaring the other passengers.
Ha ha ha. So, I bought that CD as well. Listened to it constantly as well.
And then, their 3rd CD came out, but I was too broke at the time to buy it (this time...I knew about it...
) but then I got it for my birthday!!! Yay!!!
So, I'm constantly listening to those 2 CDs....and I still haven't gotten the first one again...I think it's like this subconscious paranoia that someone is going to steal it again.
Part of the reason I love these guys so much is, well, along the lines of what I said about Brad's voice, is that it has such a comforting and calming effect on me. For example, if I'm really stressed out, and really tired and whatnot...but it's say, too loud for me to fall asleep, I turn these guys on and I'm out buy like the 3rd song.
They just have an ability to calm me down. But I also love the lyrics and the actual music that is being played...real musicians man!! Gotta love 'em.
So, I know I asked about favourite songs and such...but even I can't come up with a solid answer. But here goes...
On the first CD: Kryptonite (obviously) and Duck and Run. I'm blanking on the rest.
On the second CD: Sooo many. But, Dangerous Game, Changes (is that the name?), Sarah Yellin' and the bonus track.
And finally, on the third CD: Landing In London, Be Somebody, Father's Son, and Live For Today.
I've never been to any of their concerts. Has anyone here, gone? I wish I could go to one...but they never come any where close enough to Montana. Psssh. *sigh* Oh well.
