To be honest, I am DEFINATELY a novice at LotR and couldn't actually finish the books, getting bored at the begining...

welcome, Oak Tree! that's ok, there are tons of different kinds of LotR fans here and that makes a really diverse and interesting group of forum members. and by the way, if you're wanting to learn more about Tolkien stuff, this is a great place to be. the discussions and topics are awesome...i know i've learned stuff.

no, we won't kill you for not reading the books. there are others here like you, and to tell you the truth, i'm reading TTT right now for the first time.
