...that's the point and that's the problem. And I've been part of this club since the very beginning and we've had many Nazgul-related pages. It definately is possible, as the point of this club isn't to be a common room, it's a club of insanely random nazgul for world domination. The previous 6 posts would be a good example of what we're doing wrong.
However, I think that if we're expected to stay on topic or else be closed or moved, then the point of the Welcoming Team thread should also be considered.

Yes, folks, Beri is right. Please talk about how wicked Nazgul are, how you've frightened people with your imitation Nazgul scream, dressed up as a Nazgul for Halloween, etc.
Not

Beri has made a point, however I still think it would be much to hard for us to always talk about Nazguls. I think we'd always be getting off-topic, because we've almost always been off-topic.
Which means we need a name change, and soon.
And yes-the Welcoming Team should also be considered for this. They're, techincally, always off-topic as well.

However, those completely re-iterating posts etc. will still not qualify, Ellethwen.

Yes, of course those posts that make no sence what so ever are off topic, I don't think that the topic of the Nazgul clug are the nazgul. For instance, there's a new club, the "Gentlemen's club" Or somthing. Its a club where they talk about gentlemenly things, not strickly gentlemen. Wow, I hope that made sence.

The whole problem here originates in the stricter enforcement of the rules, which again is caused by the noble wish from the staff to make the forum a more LotR related and less random place.
As we all know the reason why they made Misc. Randomness post count free zone is an attempt to secure longer and more relevant posts. Clearly the Great Eye of the mod team is always present on this board because they didn't want the club section to turn into one-word posts if the notorious Misc. Randomness posters would migrate over here.
Well, the enforcement of rules is up for (a long) debate but now we need to take som constructive action. The Nazguls have always been evil, random and off-topic. We have always evolved our posts around evil and randomness (whether others can agree to it or not!) and off-topic is what we end up being. How about kicking in the word "off-topic" in the name, couldn't it help solve the problem?
Like Insanely Off-topic Nazgul for World Domination?
I do realize it is not the fairest way to comply with the rules but at least we are honest.
Concerning the debate on what is Nazgul-related enough to qualify as a topic of convesation in this thread. It is true that we would never have reached over 500 pages talking strictly about Nazgul. And then on the other side, it depends on the view point. We are all Nazguls here, so strictly speaking everything we talk about is Nazgul-related. However, we might not get that point through with the moderators.
We are being kept on a tight leash here but I have heard somewhere that the mods are actually humans who are able to listen to common sense. They are aware of how easily topics get astray (simply take a look in the Moderator introduction thread), but that is also a part of maintaining a friendly environment, that the members are able to talk about what is on their minds to a certain extent. As long as it doesn't stay off-topic.
It is easy to point out other clubs and threads that go off-topic once in a while or might be as irrelevant to the claimed topic title as we might, but this is not the place to take that discussion. All we end up doing with this is to cause unnecessary controversy.
In my humble opinion it is more a matter of sense, that we think about our own posts and try to add to the ongoing discussion here. I don't think anyone would mind that one shares the great (and random) news that she had her final exam or moved up a rank as long as the whole conversation doesn't turn into talking about Valahood and summer vacation. As I see it, the club board is a place for people with the same interests to get together and talk about them, but also, though on a reasonable space, to be able to better to get to know a smaller group of people on this enormous forum. Just like clubs and associations outside this place. Take a look at the rules again with an open mind and see what they really mean. When so many people are together there must be some sort of regulation, just like in the real world. We are in a place where certain rules apply and if one cannot comply with these, that person should consider looking for other places to go. When this is said I believe that everyone here can accept those rules and understand the meaning behind. They are simply created to secure a friendly, but LotR related forum.
Welcome back hobobagins09.
I was wondering.. where are the boys? [s]Curunir[/s] Sharkú, Witchy and...mmm the rest of the male part of the Nazguls?
