yes I know.. and I think on the one hand it's sad, because there are so many open questions and it makes some things very difficult to understand, but on the other hand I think it's good, because it gives the story a mysterious touch I think..

tolkien said that the story focusses on the north west because its where people resisted the hardest against the influence of morgoth.

Yes that's true. And I think it's ok, because if you imagine how much he'd have had to write to tell the whole history of all people.. that would have been too much for one person I think and the history would be full of gaps I guess..

though they should be like tolkiens.most fantasy books are a rehash of tolkien anyway.but if new books came out they would be have to books tolkien would approve of.not to mention his estate

I don't know. I don't think anyone could write anything like the things Tolkien wrote again.. as long it's fan fiction it's ok, but it was Tolkien's idea... I don't know..

I don't think I'd like the idea of someone writing more stories set in M-E. It just wouldn't be right, and they'd be able to abuse the world that Tolkien created. Fanfics are bad enough already...

Plus, Tolkien is the only one who knows all the history of Middle-Earth and all the things that went on. No one would be able to learn everything about it in order to write a story remotely close to what Tolkien has given us.

yes you're right. I wouldn't like people going on with Tolkien's stories as well... that just wouldn't be right.. Fanfiction is ok I think, because it's just what fans dream of middle-earth, it's nothing which should be the real history of Middle-earth I think.

^Exactly, fanfics are written for pure sport, and entertainment.

The Blue wizards Alatar & Pallando Went to the east where they could have been currupted by Sauron or perished for they did not come to the undying lands as gandalf did.
