"Sinister best be able to fix this..." He said muttering at his hand.

Dani raised an eyebrow. "That's the idea - but my power is at the molecular level, so that's how it'll be accomplished." Closing her eyes, she focused her mind on the combatants, closing in on Icefire. She stretched out a hand and slowly brought her fingers together, using it as a focusing aid as she set the boundaries of the dematerialization. She was working with Magneto on not needing a physical aid, but at this distance it was necessary. In a quick, decisive action, she crushed her hand into a fist, turning her fellow X-Man into an invisible cloud of atoms.

As Esperanza drew her hand closer to her, the particles became easier to grasp. Skillfully, she reformed the intra-molecular bonds, leaving Icefire standing on the roof beside her in the same posture he'd been in moments ago.

"Besides," she commented to him, "you wouldn't want to give them something to trace, would you?"

Lucifuge was about to send another boot in when he disapeared.
"What the...?"
He stood in the middle of the rubble looking around. His clothes were still hot and and smouldering. He spun around on the spot holding his arms out.
"Coward!"

Sinister moved towards Tania, placing a gentle hand under her chin. Lifting her head up to meet his gaze he spoke softly.
"I promise you your freedom if you do this one thing for me. You can go back to your X-Men. I will ensure you safe passage."

Tania tried hard to avert his deep gaze, but it was drawing her in.
"Okay." she sighed
"I'll do it."

Sinister smiled as he walked over to his chair. Pressing a few buttons on one of the arm rests the shackles on Tanias wrists snapped open and they fell to the floor with a loud thump.

"What about this?" Tania asked pointing to her inhibitor collar.

Without a word he pressed another button. The collar made a low humming noise and it snapped open at the back. Tania collapsed to the floor, tears in her eyes. The feeling of having her powers surging through her again was overwhelming.

Icefire reassumed his human skin form but to his embrassment Dani had forgot to take his clothes with him. Sighing, he took on his ice form. "Great," he said, looking around him. "Any idea how to get us off this roof? Even from a far distance, he swore he could hear the brute yell out "Coward" He was extremely exhausted from the fight and looked forward to his mediation chamber Magneto and he had built inside the mansion.

Tempest and Havok stood there trying not to smirk at Lucifuge's misfortune.
"Does this mean we can finally go to Heaven?"

Lucifuge turned to look at his two comrades.
"Good I need a drink!"
He strode over to them, occasionaly looking over his shoulder.
"I'll find you..." He muttered.

"That depends," answered Dani. "Do you trust me?" Walking forward, she stepped off the roof.

As she fell, hearing what she thought was a gasp, she mused that the phrase 'thin air' was slightly misleading. Grabbing the air around her, Esperanza whipped it past her body, generating lift. She rose to the roof's height to face Iceman and held out her hand in invitation, her hair flying in the self-generated airflow.

Icefire looked at Dani in the air and chuckled a bit. "I'm floating my way to the manison?" Icefire asked. Still he had no other choice. He grabbed her hand and landed on the airflow.

Dani smiled. "I prefer to call it flying." And the midnight city flashed beneath them in the silver night.

Soon the mansion loomed into view, and she set them down on the front drive.

Icefire opened the door in and immediately went to Magneto's study. Magneto was sitting with his eyes at the window looking out in the dark. Icefire stood straighter as Magneto turned and faced him. "Ah, Erik. I trust you were able to return after I ordered the abort."
"I might have been if two of Apoc's men attacked me and forced me to send the alarm," Icefire replied.
"Two? By any chance were you able to identify your assailants?"
"Hmmmm....." In truth, Icefire had no idea who was the person that had used the solar energy. But he did know who was the other.
"He was a biker like. Tough. But a complete idiot. I doubt he had any idea what tissues I was attacking."
"Did you get his name?"
"No, but he had long black hair, a thick ugly goatee, among other disgusting traits." Icefire had no problem displaying his distaste for the biker.
Magneto paused for a moment and said, "I think the mutant who attacked you would be John Magnus or, as he prefers to be called, Lucifuge. Gave mutants quite a bad name. I am rather pleased and mildly surprised you were able to hold him off, Erik. He is known to crush cars. But like you said, he is a complete idiot and once again, you prove that brains are better than brawn."

"Nice save." She smiled.
"Has Magneto ided the mutant yet?"

"I have a task for you, my old friend," Magneto continued. "There are several mutants in this school that have excelled in basic combat techinques. They wish to pursue a more advanced course, one that encompass strategy and tactics. And as I am far too busy to handle this personally, I wonder if you would like to teach this class. I have taught you everything that I know about this subject so it really shouldn't be a problem."
They stood, watching each other, for a moment and then Icefire said, "Yes, Magneto. I'll teach this class."
"Good. In addition to being your students, they will be your soldiers and when the need comes, will serve you in various tasks that I may ask you to perform with a group. I know you like flying solo but occasionally there might be a mission where I will feel much better with you in a team. Do we understand each other?"
Another pause came before Icefire sighed and said, "Of course, Magneto. I will do as you ask."
"I'm sure you will. Now if there are anything else that you will like...."
"Magneto, why was the mission aborted?" Icefire asked immediately.
Magneto paused then replied, "Because there was absolute no need to send my best man into a mission with little chance of success and nothing good out of it." That did seem like a reasonable response but Icefire knew it was something more than that.
"Very well. Good night, Magneto." Icefire said and turned to leave his study.
"The same to you, my friend," was Magneto's response.

(Could one of the you guys be part of the advanced combat group thing? Also can I have another character in this as well?)

Icefire left Magneto's study and went to his mediation chamber. There he would reflect his thoughts and his memories in a small room that could only fit one person: him. He came to the locked door had a voice scanner, handpad, and eye scanner. He pressed his hand against a handpad and peered at an eye scanner while reciting "Erik Misinus Icefire" The door opened to admit him into an antechamber and another door, this time with a DNA scanner, keypad, and a temperature scanner. While Erik took the DNA scanner and placed it under his tongue and entered the passkey, he changed his body temperature from 0 degrees C to 100 degrees C within ten seconds. Otherwise, the antechamber would be filled with a deadly toxin that both Magneto and Icefire engineered together. The door admitted Icefire into the actual mediation room where he took a seat on the cushion on the floor. Before the cushion laid several multi-scented candles which Icefire lit. He spent about an hour on the cushion, relaxing and reflecting, before he got up and, passing through all the doors, went to his room to sleep.

Dani shrugged. "I don't know - you'd have to ask him. I'm not a telepath." Her grin turned into a yawn. "And that little exercise was somewhat draining. Sheer amounts of matter I can handle, as long as their close. I have more problems with distance." Eyeing the couch, she curled up on it and smiled up at Emma. "Mmmm... this feels nice."
