John turned and walked out in a hurry. As he walked he kept punching holes in the wall, until he got back to his room and let all his rage out on a single wall, pounding away, leaving a gaping hole. He sat on the bed and let out heavy breaths.

Kim walked out of Havoks office, her mind reeling. Was it coincidence he had her hair on him. If it was indeed hers. But there was no-one else that had a colour like it. Scarlets hair was so distinctive.
Finding her composure, she walked along the corridor. Noticing the gaping holes in the walls. Lucifuge had left his calling card

Arriving at his door. She knocked on it and waited on an answer.

Lucifuge's head shot up and he rose to the door. He pressed the button, knowing who it would be already. The door slid across and he looked Kim.
"I guess you want to come in and give me a talking."
He stepped back, letting her in.

Kim regained her focus and walked into his quarters.
"Well, it wasn't the smartest thing you ever did. Attacking a head Prelate. What were you thinking, John? I know you don't like Alex, but come on that was just irrational. Even for you." when Kim finished she turned and noticed the large hole in his wall.
"Nice job" she said sarcastically pointing at it.

He lit up a cigarette and looked down at the floor as he took drag of it.
"You wanna get to the point?"

Kim put her hands on her hips. "That was my point John. What's yours? and what exactly is your problem lately? Your control over your temper is virtually non existent. Which is good on the field. But against our own..no. That is not going to happen."

She looked over at him "The High Lord does not like dissention in his ranks. You know this. Ambition is one thing, but internal fighting. Whatever your issue is John, I suggest you get over it"

He flicked the ash on the floor and looked at the cigarette.
"Your husband just gets to me..." He lied, but it was the best he could think of.
"And the whole capture, it just agrievated me."

Kim sat down next her friend.
"You know, you and he are a lot alike. Both stubborn, both hot tempered, both love there job, both like causing trouble."
Trying to gauge his reaction, she picked up his packet of cigarettes.
"You don't mind if I?" she asked

Dani was not happy. In fact, in her own quiet way, she realized, Dani was spitting mad.

She didn't like failure. Especially failure that could be avoided.

What the hell was Magneto thinking? The recent fiasco, after the one stroke of luck they'd had in months, had gained the X-men nothing. No information, no hostage trade, no anything - just the mansion, and they'd had that to begin with. And they'd most likely lost any credibility they'd had with Apocalypse's forces. Magneto took strong stances to begin with - but backed down all too easily.

Somebody pounded three times on the door. "Dani?" Magneto's voice. "Dani, don't do anything rash."

"Dani isn't here right now," she called back, daggers in her voice. "She's going to be unavailable for several hours."

"Just don't forget who you're working for."

"Trust me, I never forget." Both she and Magneto were fully aware of the barbed double meaning.

There was a pause, before his footsteps moved away.

He blew out a smoke ring and waved his hand over them.
"Go ahead."
He dropped the cigarette on the floor and stamped it with his boot, still looking at the floor.
"I'm just having issues right now, ok? I just need time to think. I think I'll try and get some alone scouting missions."

"Prelates aren't permitted to go out on there own." Kim retorted with effiency. Taking a long drag from her cigarette, she spoke to him in almost a whisper
"John...you know, you have been staring a hole in your floor ever since I got here. Why won't you look at me? Have I done something wrong?"

He shook his head.
"No. You havent done anything wrong."
He pulled another cigarette out and went to light it.

"Try me. There isn't much I haven't seen, heard or done. Even before I was recruited as a Prelate"

"This isn't about fighting. Just forget it. I don't want to hurt you."
