Kim stood up and paced as she told the story "That...flatscan singer that we brought in. I found some of her stray hair on Alex after you almost put him through a wall. I took it to McCoy it was confirmed to be hers. I let it lie till we brought her in. I wanted some sort of revenge I guess."
Pausing again for another quick drag "After we talked I came back here, we had it out...he confessed to having some sordid little affair. With a flatscan of all things. Had it been another mutant, that wouldn't have stung so badly. He risked everything for a fling with a human" Kim stopped mid rant to take a long swig from the flask.

"So..there you go"

As Lucifuge listened his hands clenched and he broke the cigarette in his hands.

Kim came out of her rage. "No! Don't do a thing. Please, I need to keep this between us. Just incase he tries something underhanded. I want my deck firmly stacked. He knows his career is at risk if this gets out.
Flicking some ash on the metallic floor she grinned devilishly at her friend
"So I have him right where I want him."

Dani smiled. This was actually the sort of scenario she'd faced two years ago - the idea was simple. Based on the kinetic definition of temperature, all she had to do was get the molecules moving fast enough, and the intermolecular bonds would become weaker, thus causing the solid to change phase.

At this close range, she didn't even need physical aids. She picked out the ice sphere with her eyes, closed them, and held the mental image there as she vibrated the particles out of their crystaline structure. In two minutes, the sphere was nothing but vapor. It wasn't as fast as a thermokinetic could do it, of course, but then that wasn't her speciality. Dani opened her eyes. "No thoughts on a name. Sorry."

Kim looked up at John "You shouldn't talk like that big guy. You know the High Lord has his own designs on Lensherr. He wants him captured and then broken so I'd keep those sort of thoughts between us."

He nodded. Kim always was the voice of reason, like they were linked, John the body and Kim the mind.
"Well I wish he would hurry up. I'm sick of waiting, kim. You know I act first and ask questions later."

Kim looked at him in all seriousness "No..say it's not so." she smirked sarcastically before letting out a loud laugh.

He laughed heartedly with her and pulled her in closer with his huge arm.
"Well I'm glad I got you laughing again."
He put the remainder of his cigarette under his giant boot, rubbing it into the floor, when he suddenly felt weak and faint. He leaned forward heavily, pulling Tempest with him, his eyes half closed. He shook his head and felt his brow.
"What the...?"

Kims laughter stopped as she felt herself keeling over with Lucifuges weight. "John? Are you okay?"

He shook his head again and felt fine, like he was a moment ago.
"Yeah...I think he used too many sedatives on me, there still affecting me, this aint the first time, I fell asleep in my room after you left."
