"Excellent," Icefire said. "You are extremely talented, Dani. Next one please." For the next hour or so, Icefire watched as people burned things, fired bolts of energy, demolish a brick wall with their bare fists, and other unusual activites. As soon as the last mutant finished siphoning the electric energy of an alarm clock and fired the electricity at a dummy, Icefire clapped his hands and said, "Wonderful! Now, if you will follow me to the simulations, I will give you a replication of Titaor for to combat. I don't expect you to defeat him for the first time but try your best. I have lowered the AI of the replication but be warned. The most advanced computers are incapable of replicating the mind of a human or mutant. This way, please."

I was cured all right.

Lucifuge awoke slowly, sometime after Kim had come out of the shower. He blinked and adjusted his eyes to the light in the room, seeing Tempest and smiling.
"Probably the best thing I'll see all day" He thought.
Letting out a giant yawn, he stretched and sat upright in the chair.
"Morning... Sorry, I should have left earlier."

Tempest turned to him with a smile. "No, it's okay. So long as you're feeling rested."
She turned and threw her legs up onto the bed "Thanks for putting me in here. You didn't have to you know."

Dani followed Icefire and the rest of the students, still preoccupied. She had an end result, an effect, in mind - but how to achieve it?

Lucifuge stood and streched up with a heavy drawn out sigh.
"Ah I couldn't have you sleep on the floor."
He smiled and winked at her.
"Anyway I best be on my way, I'm sure I've got some boring patrol to do..."
He started for the door.

"Yeah" she winced, really not looking forward to another day.
"I could do with one full day off. Like that'll happen" she rolled her eyes.

Getting up off the bed she walked over to the door.
"I'll head out too, I gotta release her" Kims voice seethed just thinking about her.

He nodded and ducked under the doorway heading out.
"I'll see you around Kim."
He waved and walked away. As he walked down the now semi-busy hallways he tried lighting a cigarette, when a comm speaker crackled into life.
"Lucifuge, to Sinister's office, on the double! Repeat Lucifuge to Sinister's office!"
He pulled the cigarette out of his mouth and sighed. He knew what this about. Walking down the hallways many other of the prelates looked at him and whispered among themselves.
"They obviously know too..." He muttered.
As he approached the door he stamped the cigarette out and pressed his thumb against the sensor. It scaned his hand and the door slid open. Inside in his throne sat Sinister, his fingers rolling along the chair arm rest making a tapping noise. His brow furrored as he looked upon the giant. To his left stood Havok, his arms folded across his chest. He joined Sinister's look at Lucifuge.
John glared back at Havok until Sinister spoke and he stood to a more attentive state.
"Lucifuge..." His voice low and calculating, "Why is it you feel the need to attack a fellow prelate, and a head one at that?"
Lucifuge was about to speak but was inturpted by Sinister.
"A prelate who risked his own life to save you, a fellow prelate who drunkingly crashed right before the enemy..."
Lucifuge opened his mouth and was again inturpted.
"... You should be eternaly grateful to this mutant, he is your savour and your leader, I do not tolerate insobardination."
"I sincerly appologise for my actions my lor..."
"Quite!"
Lucifuge frowned at Sinister.
"You have always been a rebel, I came to you because of your qualities but now your too much of a liability. Lucifuge I have no choice but to punish you, which Prelate Havok will carry out. You are to get one hundred lashes with the laser whip."
Lucifuge gritted his teeth and clenched his fist. Havok was grinning and held out a a tube with a long flexible wire on the end. He pushed a button on the tube and the wire crackled as energy pulsed through it and made it glow a luminous green. John stood back ready to fight it when two prelates out of the darkness grabbed him and spun him around, attatching two manicles to his wrists, the chains disapearing into the darkness. His arms streched out wide and Havok stepped forward, grinning sadisticaly.

Kim headed in the opposite direction and made for the elevator to take her down to the detention area. Walking up past the corridor, a couple of the trainees stopped talking when she walked past them. She thought about confronting them. don't be so paranoid she said to herself.
Turning the corner to where Scarletts cell was, there were two new guards there.
"I've come to see the prisoner" Tempest stated firmly.

No reply.

"Guards, I said I'm here to see the Prisoner. Open the cell now. That's an order" she spoke to them sternly.

One of them spoke up "She's gone. Taken away a few hours ago"

Kim turned to him fury in her eyes "What!? What do you mean gone? Under who's orders?"

He looked back at her, almost afraid to speak "It..it was Prelate Summers."

Kim spun on her heels furiously making her way back up from where she came. You've gone and done it now Alex

John cursed under his breath as Havok approached holding the pulsating whip.
"I'm going to enjoy this." He said with a low dark laugh.
"Don't worry," Lucifuge said, turning his head, "I'll be seeing you later." He muttered.
Havok pulled the whip back and threw it forward, the energy pulsating as it flew and hit John's skin, the intense heat burning the skin on contact. John gritted his teeth in pain, his hair falling before his face. He gasped out in pain and felt another attack..

Kim stormed down the hallway and stopped as she reached Sinisters chamber. Two guards were outside as well as Sinisters disembodied Brain trust.
"I need an audience with Sinister. It's urgent"

Horseman Sinister is not available for an audience Prelate Lee-Summers the combined voices of the brain trust invading her mind.

Kim shook her head angrily "You know I hate that." turning to one of the Guards who was looking rather nervous "Let me in..NOW!" raising her voice as her temper began to simmer.

"We-we can't..under orders." he stumbled over his words
"He's in there with someone. Orders not to be disturbed" the other one chimed in.

Kim cursed at the door guards. But stood back. "Fine. I'll wait."

Lines continued to form on John's back. Lines of pain. Each one grew in intensity, eventually letting blood, the stinging pain grew. Lucifuge yelled out in pain on around half way through and continued to cry out with each succesive strike.

Kim paced back and forth like a caged tiger. She thought she heard a pained cry. Walking closer to the door she listened intently it cried out again. She instantly recognised the voice.
John!

Her eyes full of rage she roared at the guards "Let me in there or I swear I'll blast a hole right through." Kim meant it and the guards knew it and knew not to get in her way. Her temper was almost legendary amongst the younger recruits.

"W-we can't. We have or-orders" one of them piped up meekly

Kim began to charge up her hands "Open the door, or you go down with it"

Panicking one of them pressed the override button and the door slid open with a hiss. Her eyes gaped wide at the sight she saw before her.

John's head turned slowly over to look at Kim, through a mat of hair.
"Kim... Go away, I don't you to see this..."
Havok turned to look at her too with a frown on his face.
"What do you want?!"

"You know what I want Alex. I want you to be the one up there. Being punished. Considering what you did, I'll be surprised if you get off that lightly" Kim raged at her estranged husband before walking towards Lucifuge.

Lucifuge groaned in pain whilest looking at Tempest.
"Please... Kim just let me be."
Havok turned and whiped John again. He let out a grunt of pain.
