^Agreed, it also helps that our M-E warriors are grown up adults. Adults tend to be stronger than children.

Well Guys, I never actually said they WERE Children. What about the Pevensies when they are Older? Like at the end of the movie before they go back to our World, Did you ever think about that?
I know we are entitled to our own Opinions Haldir, But what I said about Aslan wasn't really an opinion, It was a fact.
Sorry guys, I'm not trying to get into a fight about the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, I like LOTR as much as Narnia, Probably more.
SPOILERS BELOW FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE NOT READ THE BOOKS!!!!!
But as I was saying, The Pevensies aren't "Children" Through all 7 of the Books. They stay for about 15 or so years in Narnia before going back to Our world in LWW. And they are Adults in HHB, And they are older in LB. I DIDN'T say we were basing this off the Movies, But I don't care if you based your Opinions on the Books Or Movies, I am just stating that the Pevensies grow up and get more experienced in Battle, Which is Included in the books.

The reason why LOTR and Narnia have so many things similiar to eachother is because Tolkien and C.S. Lewis worked together during the writing of their books. They were great friends in real life.

Again ... Aragorn is a trained ranger, Gandalf is an all-powerful Istari ... the Hobbits, well, they might be a little weak ... the Elves are beyond trained ... they have thousands of years of experience, along with their Elven weapons. I shall say no more.

Fact: Tolkien thought his friend C.S Lewis' story was childlish and it had no point.
My opinion is that Lewis just wanted to follow Tolkien with creating his own fantasy story, but it didnt worked out. Never shall anyone have the same story as Tolkien, and for me, Lotr is the best story ever written.

.. Prof Tolkien is right about the childish part ... LotR is more fully written and the characters are way more powerful, no question ... we're going around in circles ... surely you know what we mean by now.

Actually, I don't, Haldir. If the Pevensies get older and more experienced in battle, What makes them different from Aragorn and the others? They are just as good fighters, AND older, Not kids. And Centuars and Fauns would most likely be a good match for the Elves, And Aslan could most likely beat All of them just by breathing on them, Making him a tough match for Gandalf.
I happen to think Narnia is as well written as LOTR, It was written for Children to teach them the ways of christianity, Lewis wrote LWW to explain the story of Jesus to his God-Daughter. So Narnia was made for Children, So you don't really have any excuse to be calling it childish.
I like LOTR more then Narnia, As I have already stated. I am just trying to stand up for both of them. The people of Narnia(And Animals) are just as skilled as the LOTR characters if you ask me. Thats one of the reasons why I love them both so much and made this topic for fun.
I will say no more.

its all because of the archery thing, right? I can't really imagine a Centaur being as swift, graceful and noiseless as an elf, therefore they can't do as well in battle ... and i really can't see a Centaur climbing up a tree after an Elf, either

Of course Fauns and Centuars are not going to be Noiseless, There Part Horse. But Horses can be Swift and graceful. And some Fauns and Centuars are skilled in Archery, So I think a fight between them and the Elves would be a Fair and tough match. Seeing Elves have climbing to there advantage and Fauns and Centuars have speed.

Yeah I know they are, But I don't think they could outrun a Horse.
Like I Keep saying, I like LOTR more than Narnia, I'm just trying to stand up for both of them and for what I think. I hope everyone understands that.

Yup, My answers are kinda a Mixture of both Narnia and LOTR.
I guess I can post them:
Good Vs. Good:
Gandalf Vs. Aslan- Aslan
Aragorn Vs. Peter- Aragorn
Legolas Vs. Susan-I honestly have no idea
Gimli Vs. Edmund- Probably Gimli, He is pretty tough
Frodo Vs. Lucy-Probably a tie, Both of them aren't very skilled
Good Vs. Evil
Sauron Vs. Aslan- Aslan
The White Witch Vs. Gandalf- Gandalf
Frodo Vs. Maugrim- Frodo if Frodo had a Sword, Maugrim if Frodo didn't have a sword
