(now I know exactly what Hurroks are! I'm ready the second book of the Imorals series...)
Phillipa had an arrow in her bow in seconds. She aimed, and shot, it hit a hurrok in the wing...

Monisa slowly started to spin, ice crystals forming in her hairthey slowly twisted out to the Hurrocks and wrapped around them quenching thier inner fire

The last of the hurroks died and Ceri sagged. As she waited for the others to hopefully join her, she started collecting arrows. It was always good to be prepared. Tired she pulled her sword, wiped it and sat down under a tree.

Granit, stop. They're all dead now. phillipa said to the horse. The buckskin mare stopped instantly, and turned around and trotted to the one sitting and cleaning her sword.
"First time I've actually seen hurrocks. I've heard, and read about them. They look more mean than the pictures in books!" Phillipa comented...

(well... they have the boy of the horse... exept with bat wings, claws instead of hooves, and huge canine teeth! thats how Tamora Pierce described them!)

Granit shook her mane, and trotted to a spot were the trees were close together enouph to hide them. Will this do? the mare asked, turning her head to look at the group.
Phillipa listened intently in hopes to find a flying animal that could help them. With luck she found a sparrow.

Maybe, came the sparrow's touchey voice in her head.
can you fly up, and see what is up there? She pointed to were she senced the thing.
If you wish, the sparrow flew off...
