Dani joined Icefire, wiping sweat from her forehead. She felt slightly tired from her recent exertions. "What's the new crisis, Erik?" she asked only half-jokingly.

Kim walked slowly up the dirt track. She could see a car on the horizon. She stopped, now that she was here she was beginning to feel something she hadn't felt in a very long time. Fear
What are you so afraid of? she asked herself.
Steeling her resolve she began to walk up towards the car.

"Lucifuge," Icefire replied. "He's here and personally I don't like the idea of him being here at all. I alarmed Magneto of the situation. He doesn't look like he is doing any harm but I want to make sure first."

Kim stopped about half way, pulling a pair of sunglasses out of the top pocket of her jacket, she put them on. Lighting a cigarette, she took a drag and walked into the shadows on the side of the road.

He let out a cloud of smoke from his mouth and sighed.
"Do I have to knock on the door?!"
He began walking up the steps to the door, knocking on it.
"Hello? Anyone home?!"

Tempest threw her half smoked cigarette on the road and stubbed it out with her boot.
"No time like the present" she spoke aloud to herself, as she began to make her way into the Mansion grounds.
She couldn't help but smile as she watched Lucifuge tap on the door, like some kind of salesman. Stifling a giggle, she boldly walked up towards him.
"Maybe you should just break the door down big guy" bringing out the confident sassy side of her personality. She had a feeling she was going to need.

Icefire and Dani joined with Magneto and a team of mutants went for the door and opened to find the brute and another mutant. "Halt!" Icefire cried, his hands alight with fire already. "Don't even move!" Magneto asked, "Lucifuge, Tempest, what brings you here

I was cured all right.

He narrowed his eyes at Tempest, but his head was glad. "Good, she came." He thought.
He turned back to the X-men and held his hands up.
"Well, I think I can speak on behalf of both of us. We wish to defect. Recent events have caused us to rethink our positions and we feel that we would serve you better."
He smiled.
"But, speaking for myself, this is just a common enemy thing, I don't agree with you or your ideologies."

Tempest leant against one of the small walls that flanked the doors of the Institute. Her sunglasses, perched on the bridge of her nose.
"The enemy of my enemy is my friend" she stated, peering over her sunglasses.
"So, are you gonna invite us in, or what?" pushing the sunglasses back up

Icefire frowned. What made him trust them? Before he control himself, he said to Lucifuge, "You chased me, destroyed my car, almost killed me, and crashed the mansion. We have been monitoring you and you have been Apoc's loyal servant. What proof do you have that we can trust you? As for you, lady, you are the wife of Havok, one of Apoc's most deadly servants." He would have gone on and on but Magneto said to Icefire, "That will be enough." He then directed his gaze towards Lucifuge and Tempest and said, "We will offer you our hospitality but we will have to maintain a guard on you at all times. I'm afraid I will have to confine to a room. Any thought of turning against us and I will be forced to kill you. Is this understood?"

Tempest snapped the glasses of her face, and put them in her pocket.
"There is nothing between me and Havok. I know you have no reason to trust us and under the same situation I'd feel as suspicious as you are."
She briefly looked over at Lucifuge then back to Icefire
"I only speak for myself here, but if a room with a guard is the only way. Then so be it"

Dani stood in silent agreement, glad that Magneto was aware of the possibility of infiltration. She stayed in the background, purposely inconspicuous, making no physical motion. A slight mental shift placed a second passive tracker on Lucifuge's boot.

Kim stood and observed everyone. It was quite the leap of faith she had taken. Have I done the right thing? she questioned herself.
She knew she couldn't go back, and she wasn't exactly being welcomed with open arms here. But it was better than the alternative.

Magneto smiled and said, "Follow me, please." Magneto lead the way into the manison, flanked by Icefire and Dani. Tempest and Lucifuge were in the middle of the mutant team that followed Magneto. They came upon a fairly large room with bathroom. But it was obivous very secure. "This will be your room, Tempest. If you attempt to blast your way out, I'm afraid the guards will kill you. Lucifuge, your room will be at the other side of the mansion. There are to be no communication between either of you."

Tempest looked inside the room, it looked pleasant enough. A comfortable looking bed in the far center of the room stood out to her. She looked at Magneto "Please, you can't leave me in here alone. I came all this way to find him. I need to speak with him."
Kim was afraid her words were falling on deaf ears. She flashed a look of panic over at Lucifuge. She mouthed the words help me.

Dani conducted a quick mental search of Tempest, looking for anything suspicious that she might be carrying. Satisfied, she looked at Magneto and inclined her head slightly.
