Based off The Patriot, except with our own characters. The movie is set during the American Revolution, so you can pretty much either play an American or British character...

The canon characters are already on the list at IMDb, so if you want to rp one of them, just let me know.

Also if you want to set up romances with any of the characters, and/or keep them alive, that's fine with me..just let me know.

History:Born in South Carolina, Elizabeth Holmes was raised to be a young lady. At age fourteen, she had been out for a ride, and when it had started to storm, she headed back. Her life changed when she saw her home burning. After crying for her family, she was soaked, but went around her house and searched for any remains. She found her father's medallion, and took it with her and headed into a forest. She then was taken in by Ben Martin and his family, and four years later, she is still looking for her family's murderers.
Weapons (if applicable):She carries a dagger on her to ensure her saftey, but she can also handle a gun and rifle.
Family:Francis Holmes(Father, Deceased), Jacqueline Holmes,(Mother, Deceased), Andrew Holmes (Cousin, soldier of America)

Oooh I want to join! I absolutely love this movie. I haven't got a lot of time right now, so I'll post a character later. One question: when in the movie exactly does this begin?

Not exactly sure...see..I haven't seen it since it came out, but I can remember quite a bit of the details...but I'm thinking some time before the soldiers come to get their wounds tended to.
And I'm planning on pairing up my character and Tavington..

Here's my charrie:
Name: Lilly Hawking
Age: 17
Gender: female
Appearance: short (about 5'2), slim but with a feminine figure, fair skin, waist length golden hair (slightly curly), large dark green eyes, she usually wears men's clothing
Personality: brave, adventurous, kind (unless you give her a reason not to be), street wise, mischeivous, stubborn, sometimes has a fiery temper
History: Lilly was born in a backwoodsy part of South Carolina. She was the youngest of 3 children. Her family was quite poor. When she was only 9 her parents and her sister got extremely ill. Before anyone could reach a doctor they died. Lilly and her brother (then 12) were taken in by there mother's sister who lived in Charleston (or I think it actually was Charles Town then, but whatever). Their Aunt Margaret was not good at raising children. The two of them were basically left to do whatever they wanted to do. Lilly was adventurous and loved to go and stir up any kind of trouble she could. After getting into a few fights, she got her brother to teach her how to defend herself. He taught her how to use knives, and she acquired quite a few of them to arm herself with. One day she was rummaging through her aunt's attic and she found an old box filled with some of her dead uncle's old stuff. She found his pistol. Although she is not very good with it, she always carries this pistol with her just in case she can't use one of her knives. Now at 17, even though she technically lives with her aunt since she can't afford a home of her own, she hardly ever spends any time there. Since her brother enlisted in the army, she has found that she cannot bear to be alone in the house with her aunt. It is too lonley. So she basically hangs out on the streets.
Weapons: a pistol, and a number of knives she keeps hidden in her clothes (one tucked into each sleeve, four on the inside of her coat, and one tucked into each of her boots)
Family: Nathaniel Hawking (brother enlisted in American army), Margaret Jones (aunt), Maria Hawking (sister, dead), Aaron Hawking (father, dead), Abigail Hawking (mother, dead)

I know that in the movie Gabriel ends up with someone else, but could he pair up with my character in this?

When she was 16, the British drove them out of their home, burned it and then killed everyone in her family. She was the only one that managed to escape. She is fighting for her freedom and revenge.
Weapons (if applicable): She carries a rifle and sword, that belonged to her father.

Alright..lets start then..we'll start at the Martin's plantation..

Elizabeth Holmes looked up from where she was tending to an American soldier as she heard the moan of pain from another, a Redcoat. She knew the reason they were tending to both Americans and Redcoats, was the fact that they were both human, and that they should be treated as such, unlike the opinions of others. She herself was a Patriot, and she knew the Martins were too. Would there be another reason for Gabriel Martin's act of joining the American army. She sighed, and shook herself out of it, before continuing to tend to the soldiers.

Lilly Hawking ran threw the woods as silently as she could. She had been traveling. Life in the city was starting to bore her. After days of walking now she was in the midst of a battle. How in the world did I get myself into this? she thought to herself. Luckily she was wearing a forest green coat that blended in with the trees well. As long as she stayed away from the main battle, she would probably go unseen.
She stopped and sat down against a tree, panting. It seemed like she had been running for ages. She knew she looked a mess. Her long golden hair was in tangles, and she was covered in dirt. There was no way she could run any more tonight. She curled up and fell asleep.
The next morning Lilly awoke with a start. Thankfully, she was still in one peice. None of the soldiers had found her then. She stood up and brushed the leaves off of her and tried to get them out of her hair. Then she began walking. Soon she saw a plantation. Maybe these people would give her a place to clean up before she set off again. As she came closer to the house she could here moans. These people were tending the wounded. Hope surged up in her, maybe her brother was there. She ran up onto the porch and saw a woman, proabaly around her own age, helping with the soldiers.
