So do I! I've found people know the story's ending differently though. Some people think she was turned ito a spider outrigt and some like me think Arthena was meant to have killed her, but took pity and turned her into a spider? How does everyone else know the ending?

the way i heard it was that Arachne killed herself in shame and Athena felt really bad for being the cause of the girl's suicide so she turned her into a spider ...

Wasn't there some reason that Athena and Medusa hated each other?. . .

((We really need to revive this club...))
Medusa and Poseidon dishonoured one of Athena's temples and so Athena turned Medusa into such a creature:

I'm not sure, but they must have been a strange folk! In every single story all characters save the gods and godesses die! To hear these stories and believe them would have made me very, very sad if I lived about 3000 years ago...

Yep, definatley a thing that'd put me of. The only people I can think of that survive the Illiad is Helen and Andomanche, and Andromanche got sold into slavery. It must have been awful!

These are very sad stories indeed. I remember a myth that is concerne din one man and his wife. I do not remember all of it but only thing I remembered the man goes to Hades to beg of him to bring his lovely wife back. So Hades decide to give her back ine one conditon. And the condition is when he goes underground to search for her. He should not look at his back or else she will be lost forever. It was something like that do you know the whole story?? i felt really sad when I heard that story.

Yes, this is the story of Orpheus and Euridike, one of the saddest stories I know!
Orpheus is a very important character in the Mythology, he has a long history, but I can't remember all of it.
He loved to play on the lyra, and he plays that good that everything and everyone wanted to be as near to him as possible, even the trees. Once he met Euridike, they married, and they were really happy.
But on one day Orpheus went to town and Euridike went to pick flowers, when a snake it her. When Orpheus came back, he found her dead body.
He was so sad that he went to Hades and begged that he would give him back his wife. Hades is sorry for him and tells him that in one condition he can have her back: Orpheus should walk out of the Hades, and behind comes Euridike, and whatever happenes, Orpheus is not allowed to turn around and look back. But he did and so he lost Euridike for ever.
The story of Orpheus continues until his death, but I cannot remember it that well at the moment...

Thanks Lady Erana, I guess that is it. Thanks very much indeed. Wow! At least I remembered the ending. Myth is something attractive. It attracts me a lot in many ways since it has a lot of history on my land. Everyday more comes out. Well it is so good to live with the myth itself. Maybe sometimes you should visit and see the myth.
About Medusa, very disgusting face. I felt sorry for her. I have seen its head in museum its head turned upside down. The reason behind of it is that she turns the every amn who had the courage look at her face. This sounsds interesting. I think I might make up a story about her.
