Between the female vampire and the lizard man, Dante was beside himself with intrigue.

He stretched a powerful arm out, fist gripping the a thick bough to support himself as his huge frame leaned forward casually, devilish smirk creasing his lips as he peered down at Tonnerre. Lustrous curls of indigo brushed against his bare shoulders, shorter tresses tumbling into his eyes. Orbs seeming to glint with a saucy self assurance.

"It was you, then." His words lingered thickly in the air for a moment, as if he himself stopped time so that he could bask in his own pride. "How very clever."

[I don't mean to ignore you, Nazgul, things are just running slow. I'll come up with something in my next post.]

[sure. I'm all alone fighting these freak assassins. jump in anytime ]

In a motion quick as a viper yet as fluid as water, the lead assassin jumped aside. The ball of lightning completely engulfed his horse. Its shrill whinnies were abruptly terminated as the flesh seared off its bones.

When Yrudit next looked, what remained of the horse was a black char on the already charred grass.

Meanwhile the assassins had fanned out around him. Their leader looked from Yrudit to the three strangers conversing nearby.

"Take them all." He gestured for his riders to surround the indigo-haired man and his friends.

Rumour snorts as the assassins close in. "Well, this is annoying......" Her body dissolves completely, and flows over the assassins, a dark mist getting into some of their throats and choking them. Black hands reach out of the fog and strangle them. The mist sweeps upwards and disappears into the trees......

From above, situated on a deep branch of a pine tree, a black panther watches......

He didn't blink, instead his waxen visage appeared less than alive, unmarred by flicker of emotion, which was an odd thing. He merely just seemed to stare down at her, eyes glazed as if he were looking through her and into the distance.

"No, I can't say that I do." His voice seemed vague.
