You guys don't really have air conditioning do you? I remember going into a store in Cambridge and it was hotter inside than outside.

lol i feel really sorry for you guys. It's been raining non stop here for a week... and its nice rain, not the rain that stings your face and the wind is howling... :rain:

and 37 degrees is the average temperature for summer. :P

I think most stores do have air conditioning, just they always seem to break down in this weather.

It's OK, I think we know you weren't being rude. On the whole air conditioning is basic over here but you can't count for every shop. :-)

No, corner shops or little independent shops don't normally have Air Cond. but some do. Most shopping centres have it though.

I thought shopping center and malls were two different things. I know in french it called un center du shopping.

No .. in french it's "un centre commercial"

But I usually say "mall" cos it's loads easier to say than "shopping centre"

I say shopping centre. I would never say *mall* as I'm not American. Anywhere undercover with a lot of shops is a shopping centre.
