Cat snarls at Cyclops and the blue fire blossoms in her hands once more, but does not leave her. "Who's that little hussy?...." She peeks around the corner at the newcomer, her eyes glittering fiercely.....

Tania's awkward expression turns to a wry smile "Oh yeah, very funny. Laugh it up Logan." she slowly walked over, stopping about half way her face becoming more serious "I didn't know what else to do...I-I thought you'd be strange with me, after everything that happened. I wasn't thinking straight Logan. My head was a mess"

Tania gave Logan a warm smile "Listen, I got a lunch date with Kitty in the kitchen. We'll catch up later" she turned and began to walk down the stairs, stopping to give Logan another smile. Winking, at him she walked down the stairs a slight bounce in her walk.

Cat steps around the corner, raising her lip in sneer at the receding figure. Obviously, Cat doesn't 'play well with others'. "So, you leave a guest standing in the door, huh?..... I'd think a school for the 'gifted' would be a lot nicer, instead of having two jerks for a welcoming comittee...." Her eyes flash with blue fire, wanting to see Cyclops and the other man's reactions......

Tania walked into the kitchen, the smile still on her face. She looks over at the long table and sees Kitty sitting grinning at her.
"What you so cheery about?" she teased "About half an hour ago you were moping about. Now you got a bounce in yer step girl."

Tania sat down on the chair facing Kitty "I have no idea what you mean." trying hard to stifle a giggle.

Kitty's face turned slightly serious "You know, you're one of the few people in this place that can make him smile you know." she looked into Tania's eyes "Ever since Jean..."

"Kitty, we're just friends. Quite playing matchmaker" Tania frowned.
Kitty held her hands up in defeat "I'm sorry I can't help myself. Let's make something to eat, and you can tell me what you've been doing in the last 6 months"

"Deal." Tania replied "Just no more matchmaking" laughing as they both got up to the fridge.

Kim walked onto the large ship and found herself a seat. She looked around to see she was the only one on board so far. Walking up towards the cockpit, she looked in on the pilot who was doing his pre-flight checks.
"Almost ready to go?" she asked, cringing at her mindless small talk.
He didn't reply, other than with a simple nod.
Rolling her eyes she made her way back to her seat. Reaching again for her Sais out of habit, forgetting for a brief second that they were lying in Magentos office.

Cat grabs Logan by the throat, blue flames blossoming around her hand and shoving him back, across the room, and into the wall.....HARD. "You get that close again an' I'll burn somethin' more valuable t'you..... Look, I'm not here to threaten your little group of friends.... All I wanna do is learn why I am what I am..... I thought that's what this school was for....." With that, she turns on her heel and walks back towards the balcony. "I guess I was wrong...."

James groaned heavily as the he stepped over the remains of his wooden door. It was blackened and splintered and inside we're four bodies. The leader groaned and rolled over.
"Get out of here..."
The men slowly stood and stumbled out.
"Don't bother me again..."
They all moaned in approval and exited the building as James sat down on the singed couch. He picked up his bottle and took a drink, the room now empty and a large area blackened.

Kitty and Tania were sitting at the kitchen table, both with large toasted sandwiches.
"So..what have you been up to since you've been away?" Kitty asked outright

"I got a regular job. I worked in a bar, mainly as a bouncer. But I worked the bar when the owner was short staffed." she replied, taking a bite out of her sandwich.

"I just can't picture you in a real regular job Tania. You're an X-Man, didn't you miss it. Miss us?" Kitty asked smiling her eyes earnest.

"Of course I missed you. But..after everything.." Tania trailed off, thinking about her father "I just needed to have some space. Not be an X-Man. Just find myself again." she finished, letting out a small sigh.

"Tania..we care about you. We always will, no matter what." Kitty said, throwing her arms around Tania and hugging her close.
Kitty's top half was solidified, but her bottom half was phased through the table.

"Thanks Kitty..I really needed to hear that" she replied softly, hugging her back.
