Ghyreian stepped into the bubble and turned to look for their androgynous helper. It was gone. No surprises there. With a shrug, she detached her side of the bubble from Edwin's and dove into the lake.

Edwin shrugged as he followed Ghyreian, they first went onwards on a tunnel that seemed to be going for sometime until it divided.

"No sign of the beast, but where to now? I have a guess that we find what he wants us to find when we find the beast..."

Ghyreian, floating in her little bubble, nodded. She nudged it forward. Some source of underwater light swam into her vision ahead. The tunnel widened. On the floor grew long kelp-like plants that, to her cynical mind, provided perfect cover for predators.

Something darted past her ear. She caught a gleam of fangs... then...

Nothing.

"I do not like this at all..."

Edwin said, but then hastened his phase as they went onwards in the dark tunnel.

Something sleek and silver darted past her. She felt a stinging pain on her cheek. She clapped her hand to it. Her hand came away bloody. She increased her pace. Two more of the silvery things whipped past. This time, the pain stung her ankle.

Edwin cursed as he was bitten in the leg and hand, he shook them off and kept the phase up as he could. They went deeper into the tunnel and came to a turn to the right with even more of the silver flashes coming by their sides. Then Edwin saw something ahead in teh darkness, he wasn`t sure what it was yet he hoped it was an exist from the water.

Ghyreian thought she saw some kind of distortion in the water up ahead. Their path was cut off as dozens of the silver streaks barred their way. She whipped out some spell components and began casting lightning.

Edwin himself created an ice spell that sent many small pieces of ice forward shredding trough the things and then Edwin continued with haste after Ghyreians lightning had done it`s work.

(cough btw can`t help thinking one thing... another black robe? ecspecially an elf seems just too much, then what bothers me where did your char come from and last you write in the wrong form.(but these are just my opinions) No offence just that I & TCN write: As they went deeper into the darkness of the tunnel

(the whole story began before the war of the lance or just at the beginning of it when Ghyreian and Edwin met at an inn, they were there spotted by some seekers and they were chased out of the town. They took refuge in a cave yet were found and imprisoned by knights, they escaped from them then headed for the tower of Wayreth.

There they received an assingment from Par Salian, which was to kill Verminaad and thus they set off only to be captured by qualinosti elves. They eventually got out of qualinosti and headed towards Sla Mori, to get some action we decided they met the original book chars on their way there, then accompanied them to kill verminaad. After that was done they went along with them into the valley where Riverwind and Goldmoon got married. From there they parted ways for sometime only to meet near Tarsis where Edwin`s family lived, Ghyreian was wounded and didn`t regonize Edwin as she tried to kill him in desperation. He blocked the desperate attempt yet as she passed out he took her to safety and saved her, after she awoke plaa plaa plaa the city was attacked and they fled. Next I think they went to Silvanesti to retrieve the dragonorb from Cyan bloodbane yet he escaped and thus they were off to find him again. They tracked him to Ergoth where they fought and slayed him, Ghyreian came to plan to take the orb for her own uses and to kill Edwin yet failed as other elves intervined.

She was taken captive and Edwin took the orb returning to wayreth yet keeping it secret, after Ghyreian got free she went to Ariakes whom she served and was given the task to spy on the conclave. There she met Edwin yet Edwin whom thought he could understand why Ghyreian betrayed him left with the orb to stufy magics in an abandoned library in Palanthas near the other tower of sorcery there. yet he was tracked down by Ghyreian whom had another black robe along with her yet Edwin escaped and Ghyreian came along with him. They ended up to Ariakas and Edwin had formerly made a deal with Ariakas that he would deliver the dragon orb to him. Of course after Edwin and Ghyreian got out of the room Edwin revealed that the dragonorb he gave to Ariakas was a booby trap and Edwin took her with him to see Par Salian (god this is a long story to explain) Par Salian ordered them to seek out a hidden stash of dragonlances from the icewall and deliver them to the golden general. So now they are searching for them at the moment yet have met a mysterious man or being that brought them where they are at the moment...

PS. I might have forgot to mention that they were imprisoned by black robes at one point for an amulet that Edwin had)

Ghyreian stopped for a moment to catch her breath. When she looked back up, there was a dark figure standing at the end of the tunnel. She looked at Edwin and readied a spell.

"Who's there?" she called out, her voice in the water sounding strangely muted yet magnified at the same time.

"Meneldor is my name and I am a traveller." he decided to answer. he did not need to raise his voice (he rarely did anyways), but the wet walls carried his voice nicley, he thought.
