Lee heard Keira's cries and quickly said, "Keira...don't move...please...and if Winter is there tell her the same...Conrad is going to get help..." Or at least she prayed he would. Her leg was hurting more now after she tried to move, more pressure was on her leg and the blood from her forehead was slipping into her eye...yet she cuouldn't wipe it off. Fear was starting to sink in since she knew Conrad was safe.

Condrad heard the sound of running footsteps. An old black man whom's name he later found out was Alan came beside him, out of breath. "What happened?" He asked, seeing the damage. Conrad said quickly, "We where on an tour, I think, my school mates and I, and our school bus wreaked and now my sister and friends are under the rumbled where Kuzco is standing." He said and as if on cue, Kuzco barked. The man put his hand on Kuzco shoulder. "It's alright, lad, I'll get them out. Just step back, the fire department and ablance is on there way." Kuzco then lead Conrad to an patch of grass to sit on as the man on to work.

Winter tried to offer some kind of encouragment to the other trapped near her, but she was too frightened. She could feel herself starting to panic; her heart was racing and she was sweating. <i>Calm down, Winter. You're fine. It's ok, they'll get you out.</i> she told herself.

Lee waited in which seemed for hours, but really it was only minutes before she heard sirens blaring and people yelling. Then she heard rumble being moved and saw an little hole of light, with an fire-fighter yelling, "Is anyone down there?" She managed to yell, "Yes, three of us for sure!", but only barely.

Conrad sat in the grass, an medic rapping up his arm, which must have been injured, though he never noticed. She started asking him question, but all he could think about was Lee and their friends. Kuzco was getting worried as well, Conrad could tell.

Winter was starting to panic. She was feeling claustrophobic from being trapped. She could hear her breath coming fast and hard out her open mouth. Again she tried to force herself to calm down, but it didn't work. Just then, a hole of light opened up above her and she heard a man calling to them. She nearly cried in her relief.

An officer pulled off most of the rumble utop of Winter...he smield at her and said, "Your okay, it's over now." He then reached down and gently pulled her out. Two more did the same for Lee and Maria (hehe, i remembered. ). They where taken to the ablunance to get checked out while the FF when to look for more survivors.

Conrad sat for an few moments after the lady left, holding on tight to Kuzco. Then, Kuzco barked joyfully and jumped up. "Whoa boy, what is it? Did they find them?" Conrad asked excitiedly as he let Kuzco lead him over to Lee.

"Thank you." Winter said to the firefighter as he pulled her from the rubble. She was quiet in the ambulance as a doctor wrapped her right arm in a bandage. "It's sprained." he said. "Just keep this on for a few days, and try not to move your arm too much." Besides her arm, the worst injuries she had were bruises and cuts.

"Lay back for me." the nurse smiled sympetheticly (sp?).
Maria did as she was told, the nurse bent down with a torch to check out the gash on her forehead. "Might need a few stitches." she frowned.
"Anything serious?" Maria asked nervously.
"No." replied the nurse. "Just this gash and a few nasty cuts and bruises."

Another nurse walked over to where Lee was; the same one that treated Conrad. She smiled at Lee but then frowned. The nurse asked, "Can you move your leg?" Lee shook her head. "What about your wrist?"
"A little, but it hurts still. Is there any major damage?" The nurse lifted her hair to show an small gash on her forehead. She shook her head. "You have an broken leg, sprained wrist, and an small gash utop you head, not including bruises and cuts everywhere. But your live..." She glanced at an pair of officers that where pulling out Mark's body, his white eyes starring deathly into hers. She cvered her mouth to stop an cry and turned her head as the nurse patched up her wrist.

Conrad was lead over to Winter by Kuzco because the nurse had left for an moment and Kuzco didn't like to be around nurses. "Who is it?" Conrad asked, reaching his hand out to feel her hand, which was how he could tell who she was.
