Lon leaned against the rail, his pistol ready as he scanned the beach for a target. As the ship moved away, he slowly lowered the weapon. He turned to scan the ship. They had suffered heavy losses. The ship itself was in good enough condition to sail.

He found Pierre's lover - Lily, he thought - fussing over her handmaiden's wound. "I have skill with herbs," he suggested tentatively.

Liz remained on the bed as Lon told her. normally she would have run off but now she felt she had to stay. Now she thought about it: she couldn't help.. She felt exhausted and dizzy as she'd lost alot of blood. Her wound ached, her eyes closed and Liz dozed of for a moment.

A messenger boy rode up to the admiral, bearing this message. "My lord," the boy cried. "Three of the finest ships of Sarawak have been mustered under your orders. The Leviathan, the Kraken, and the Jormungandr. (Very original names I know)" Madyski grimanced; he hadn't planned on using the Leviathan or the Jormungandr. Instead he was thinking of the Nemo and the Selmisa. He voiced his thoughts aloud, saying, "No, I want the Nemo and the Selmisa. Both of them are faster than the Leviathan or the Jormungandr." The messenger boy nodded and rode off.
