(sounds right to me! I have a feeling Winter likes Conrad, but she's shy, so she probably won't show it too quickly. lol)

Winter followed Conrad and Kuzco towards the rubble. Kuzco was nervous about something, it seemed.

<i>Hayden couldn't hear voices outside anymore. Had everyone left? He tried to shift some of the rubble off of him, but couldn't. Then he heard a whining noise, like a dog. He took a deep breath and called, "Is anyone there?"</i>

Keira was wondering the rubble, her wounds wraped up. She was supposed to be resting, but people were trapped down here. "Where are you all?" she whispered, images of her bloodied friends popped into her mind, huge cuts across their foreheads, chunks of metal in their legs.
She closed her eyes, thinking of them all, dying down there. Suddenly she was on her knee's searching franticaly for them. Pushing aside blocks of rubble, chucking large pebbles away, she dug deeper and deeper, until finaly she found a voice. Is anyone there?
Keira froze, it was Hayden.

<i>Hayden heard rubble being shifted above him. Maybe someone was up there, still looking for survivors. Again, he took a deep breath and shouted as loud as he could, "Is someone there?"</i>

<i>Hayden sighed with relief as firemen carefully pulled rubble away from him. Soon he was free and taken to an ambulance on a stretcher. He looked around, trying to spot Keira.</i>

Lee looked up tiredly...the light burned her eyes as she looked for Conrad and her friends...yet she could not find them.

Conrad breathed an small prayer of relief as they pulled Hayden out of the rubble, alive. Kuzco barked joyfully as he lead him to an ambalance. The fireman told him to get in one so he can be check out better.

Winter followed along behind Hayden as he was taken to an ambulance. She looked around for Keira as she walked-she knew her friend would be glad to hear Hayden was safe.

<i>In the ambulance, a doctor examined Hayden. "I'm afraid your left leg is broken." he said. "It will heal, but it will have to be in a splint for awhile." Hayden just nodded, taking in the news.</i>

"At least you are alive, Hayden!" Conrad said. He and Hayden where great friends for many years.

"You too." Hayden said, then winced and clenched his fists as the doctor carefully straightened his leg.

Winter noticed Conrad's smile, but didn't say anything about it. "No, I haven't, but I think I heard one of the nurses talking about a girl they took to the next ambulance over."

"I'm going to need to take you to the hospital." the doctor said to Hayden. "We need to get the leg set properly in the splint." Hayden nodded.
