Wow, personally I prefer Davy Jones as the villain. He's so creepy. I think he's way better than Barbossa.

Well, Davy Jones is certainly more evil. I'd be much more scared to run into him than Barbossa. But..well...Barbossa's just cooler. :P His character was much more interesting, I thought, anyway. He always had such a prescence on the screen in the first movie.

That's true. He is pretty cool. It's bee interesting to see him as one of the good guys, don't you think? We've only seen him as a baddie. *Thought strikes* Oh no, do you think he'll make an attempt to win Elizabeth as well in AWE?! That will make FOUR guys!

No, no! Nononononono...

:yuck:

Anyway...I'm not sure if he'll be "good", or if he's just in it to get the Pearl back. It'll be a lot like Jack in the first movie: switching sides often to whatever is the most profitable at the moment.

I find that rather annoying about Jack. I wish he'd pick a side and go with it, like my Will :) I love Will. But I digress. I think the resurrection of Barbossa could prove a little dangerous, he's the type of character that has the potential to get pretty old pretty quickly.

No, Barrossa wont get old, he is a very interesting character and he has lots of layers to explore. He certainly won't get old or boring.

Will..is interesting...for me, in the first movie his motives werent enough, they got better in teh second one so i'm wondering how his motives will be changed for Number three, i mena sure he wants jack back but is he willing to die for him? Will he lust after Elizabeth again or will he forget her, i'm curious to find out.

Will+Elizabeth is a MUST. Will is so sweeet....and if Elizabeth dumps him it will break his heart...

Oh, amybe I'm just a sucker for romance, but I thought Will was believeable in the first movie. In the second movie, it's not just winning Elizabeth's heart, it's her life on the line...so that is understandable too.
At the end of DMC, he's so heartbroken over Elizabeth he doesn't know what to do, but he remains loyal to her - if she's going on a quest to find Jack, he's going with her.

Yeah, I totally think it would NOT work to have Elizabeth dump Will. They've spent so much time developing the fact that Wil is madly in love with her that having her go for Jack instead would fall a little flat. IMHO. I think Will was believable in both, but slightly more in the second one.

Will didn't work for me in the second movie. He did a lot of action and work, but when it came time to act. All he had was sad, puppy dog eyes. I think they overflowed the action on his part. 'cuz it gets annoying sometimes when fangirlz scream in the theatre. I wanna see more talent. So I hope OB's acting shines through more in the third one.

Johnny Depp did prove he's probably the only guy that can play Captain Jack Sparrow. I believed him. Some may think his character is confusing, but I can see Johnny's hard work he puts into this character.-which I love.

Barbossa has a charisma about him. He won't attempt anything on Elizabeth. He just likes to threaten and flirt with her. He's got a hint of respect unlike his early crew.

I'm glad they casted the right people for these movies.

Flirt? Oh, come on...not him too...

Any line Barbossa or Jack says about Elizabeth... (ie., I happen to have no dress in my cabin), seems to be a desperate attempt to flirt with her simply because she's an attractive woman. Will and Norrington actually loved her at least; but I'm sure Jack and Barbossa would go for any "pleasurable company", not just Elizabeth. Which is why she showed no interest in them. In the first movie anyway - in the second one she's just being stupid.
:hammer:
*hits Elizabeth on the head*

Oh boy do I ever agree with you, Riniel. NORRINGTON would be better than Jack! He actually cares about Elizabeth! How am I ever going to wait until May 2007?!
