This is all so CONFUSING! We've got Barbossa, who isn't necessarily on Jack's side, and Davy Jones, who might be on Barbossa's side but definetely is not on Jack's and then Will who would normally be on Jack's side but may now hold a grudge (for KISSING HIS FIANCE! grrr...) towards him and would maybe be on Bootstrap's side, which is not necessarily Davy's side, and Elizabeth who will likely be on Jack's side but might be on Will's side, and then Norrington who is on his own side altogether (along with the East India company dude). Boy. I think I just confused myself more.

Betrayed Will by kissing Elizabeth.

Betrayed Elizabeth by leaving Will on a ship full of murderous undead pirates who are either half fish or half ship without telling her a single thing and without a single regret in the world, while he sails off to go find 100 innocent people to kill. No, I'm not bitter.

Betrayed Norrington...somehow in CotBP, I'm fuzzy on that part of the plot...

Betrayed Davy Jones - DUH

Hasn't betrayed Bootstrap yet but likely will, and it didn't help that he abandoned Bootstrap's son

He actually didn't betray Barbossa...Barbossa betrayed him...wow...

Well, maybe but I think he'll die somehow. One of them has got to die..it's Hollywood. So it's either him, Norrington..or Cotton's parrot!

Basically Barbossa is on Jack's side...until maybe he gets the Pearl back. Then I don't think he'll be on Jones' side as I think everyone would like him out of the way. Will will be on the side of whoever can kill Jones' and free his dad, so that will probablt be Jack. Elizabeth will be on Will's side no matter what, as I can't see a situation really that wuld force them to disagree - they both want the ame thing - freedom. Norrington will be on the side of himself until he realises he can't do that. He's going to have to choose.

EDIT: Yeah Jack really is not a nice person. We only like him for how he is. I only realised the other day that when he sent Will over to Jones he actuallly was sending him in payment! I thought he was just meant to give him a message!

I kind of hope Jack dies. But he won't. They'll end the movie with him looking at his compass and going, "Drink up, my hearties, yo ho, yo ho!" or something unsatisfying like that, and then it'll go *pause* doo doo DOO DOO do-do DOO DOO do-do DOO DOO do-do do-do and the credits will roll. *Starts humming the song* I need that soundtrack...

I'd say it doesn't look good for Jack. Now a lot more moviegoers are negatively biased toward him and nobody's really on his side. Which is strange, becaushe they're trying to save his life.

Now I have officially twisted my brain into knots. I better stop before I hurt myself.

Will - tried to get his life traded for the black pearl numerous times, abandoned him on Davy Jones' ship, tried to kill him in a sword fight (how nice) and totally flirted with his finace.

Elizabeth - used her in CotBP to get freedom (on the dock scene, after he saves her life), doesn't care what barbossa does to her, locks her on the Dauntless so that she doesn't try to save Will during the big CotBP fight scene, oh yes, I forgot not botheringto try and save her on the island, still only interesting in drinking and flirting...what a nice guy...and onward to DMC: fully knowing Will is a good as dead on Davy Jone's ship, he misleads Elizabeth to come on the ship with him, flirts with her, lies, numerous times, and once again disregards her safety as he goes after the chest. And he only stays on the ship after she chains him there, and he still tries to escape.

Norrington - They're, like, enemies. He has cheated and lied to that guy so many times...though you can't entirely blame him, seeing as its in self-defense.

Bootstrap - also left to die on Davy Jones' ship, and left his son there, too.

Barbossa - They've both lied and betrayed each other many times. but I like Barbossa better...why? Well, he wouldn't make out with Elizabeth in full view of Will, for one...plus, he has a cool pet monkey.

davy Jones - he broke his promise, and when you get yourself entangled with davy Jones, you're as good as gone. Jack then procedes to pull tons of others into his troubles with Davy. grrrr

Yeah, I know. She should have been more strong willed...but the writers just HAD to get her and Jack to kiss.
But the flirting from Jack didn't help, and neither did the compass, or Norrington. Stupid Norrie! Coulda kept his mouth shut...just has to make Will miserable, doesn't he?

Wow, you think we might be related, Riniel? I haven't disagreed with a single thing you've said so far. We should make that list bigger and post it somewhere, it's a good one.

Yes! Why is that?! I don't wanna like Jack! It scares me when I like him!

Jack did asked Elizabeth to marry him, in a sort of roundabout way. I don't remember exactly how, but it happened. Yeah, there might be some attraction...but that's what Will's for, to make her remember she's already engaged to an absolutely awesome guy and to totally forget about Jack.

*le gasp* In his heart of heats Norrington still cares for Elizabeth so I think letting her know what happended to Will was a good idea. As I've said before and I will be saying for years to come, I REALLY did not like the kissing scene. For me the whole tone of the film changed s the major characters have all had something to do with the main female.
