I thought she would have been cool with more development. As it was she was only a sort of funny pointless character. But no, I couldn't see her and Jack together, no way.

Yeah, I have to agree that that should have been explained about Anamaria...

My friend told me the other day that she's going to be furious if Will doesn't die. *shakes head* I didn't ask why (I suspect she wants Elizabeth to end up with Jack)...

I expect a heck of a lot more people are going to be furious if Will DOES die than if he doesn't... Personally, I'd rather he lived. He's my favorite character now that Jack "showed his true colors." Besides, I don't think Disney really has the daring to kill off a main, well-loved character.

I, for one, would be extremely mad if Will died. However, Jack can stay dead for all I care. He deserved it, and it was fun while it lasted, but you can't manipulate your friends forever and get away with it.

single word for all you above posters talking about Jack:Pirate

Yeah, that's what my brother says. You have to remember guys even though he's fun and he has these crazy antics he is a Pirate and Pirates are not the nicest people on the planet. They don't have "friends" as such or they'd soon as betray their friends to save themselves. Remember though: Jack did go back to help so I think he is decent but his decency is buried.


And for the love of the monkey!! - Will is not going to die. Here are the reasons why I think he won't.

1. People like Will and Orlando Bloom. Now a know 99.9% of people who watch Pirates watch because they want to not because of Bloom but there is still a lot of money made because of Bloom lovers. Therefore I doubt the producers would risk killing off a well liked character who we have been following for 4 years.

2. He's the love interest. Do you honestly think that after travelling the world and fighting off cursed Pirates in the first film to save his beloved, and then going through it all again so he can marry his beloved and then going to save Jack so he can go home with his beloved will end up with him dying?! At the core of Pirates is the romance between him and Elizabeth.

3. He's the good guy! It's very rare in films that the good guy snuffs it. And this is a good guy played by Orlando Bloom (has he died in any films recently?). This is also a Disney films which can be viewed by children and has a lot of comedy moments mixed up with the action. So in other words it's a fun film.

Soo...the only way I can think of Will dying is if (anything happened to Bloom ) or.....that's about it!

I'm actually really not worried about Will dying. What I AM worried about is that Disney may think it's cool for Elizabeth to ditch the guy who's crazy about her, who risked his life for her multiple times, and has loved her since the day he met her for some pirate who would ditch her in a heartbeat. I'm actually quite anxious.

How did I miss this thread before??

I highly doubt Will will die (where did this idea come from anyway? *doesn't want to search through thread *), and Johnny's Fan has already stated my reasons But I DO think that Will and Elizabeth will get married in the end. The Elizabeth/Jack thing was just a 'fling' imo.

Since I'm lazy and don't want to read through this entire thread , could someone fill me in on what we know of the plot of PotC 3? Or at least give me some links to where I can find out? Thankies!
