Mia looked up, River had just entered the stable block, he an Bud were completely drenched but looking totally happy. She smiled at them and turned to look at Sparrow for her answer.

"Only if you want too," Sparrow answered. "I was thinking of cleaning tack after this, unless there is another chore you think needs more immediate attention."

"Shall I start on the tack then and you can join me in a minute?" Mia asked.
(I presume each horse has it's own tack? Unless some of them share it because they have a similar shaped frame?)

River sponged of Bud and put a blanket over him.
"So we're cleaning off taxck now are we?Ok then" River grabbed his western saddle of its stand and brought out his own polishing mixture that waterproofed the saddle to the degree of a light rain and kept the bugs and mice of it .
He sat and took the 40 pound saddle apart and picked up the seat. it still weigh at least 35 pounds
" Man all that leather down there weighs nothing!!!!" He said as he fell over laughing when his stool fell out from beneth him.

Mia laughed and took her cross country saddle off the peg. She started to polish the soft black leather.
"So, how old is Bud then?" She asked River.

(yes, the horses all have there own tack. Well, most. Some lesson horses [if there are any] might share or if the riders want there horses to share.) Sparrow finished sweeping and joined the two of them in the tack room. Sparrow looked around for some tack to clean. Hers was always polished and wasn't due to be really cleaned until her next show. She choose an all-purpose saddle in the corner. The picked up the bridle on the hook above it and disasembled it. The saddle was quite light. Sparrow inhaled deeply, loving the smell of the soap and oil for the tack.

" He's five. I got him when i was a bronc buster" He said laughing at how they had met.
He rubbed the saddle down with a light foam and then a damp cloth and then repeated on the larg saddle.

"Aw, Marie is six. I rescued her. I don't know how old Willow is but I'll try and find out if I can. She's in a bad way." Mia replied, still troubled about Willow's condition.
She polished her saddle and bridle which didn't really need doing, and shined the silver metal.

Sparrow just sat, listening. She felt warm inside and knew how lucky she was for these two adults to let her just sit in there and listen in to their conversation. So she sat, happily polishing the tack she had chosen.

(They aren't that old!)
Mia stood and ran her hand through her hair. She thought for a second, biting on her lower lip before she left the room and went to check on Marie and Willow.
Marie's head bobbed over the door as she approached, Marie had never feared storms and when Mia went to Willow, she too was still and calm.
Mia fed Willow her last carrot before leaving the mare to settle her self in more.
She returned to Sparrow and River with her box of brushes to be cleaned and a bucket of hot soapy water.

( I think River's the oldest at 19)
" How old are you both?" He asked as he washed down the saddle ounce more before putting it over an empty stalls door for it to dry. He took out Rogue's All Around English saddle and started to dimantle that and polish and clean it .

Ashleygh came to the others. "Mind if I join you?" she asked. She had her exercise steeplechase saddle with her.

(Yea, Mia is 18, second eldest.)
Mia looked up at Ashleygh and smiled before turning back to River.
"I'm 18." She said, picking up a brush and plunging it in to the water.

(Ashleygh's sixteen)
Ashleygh took a seat, and began to clean off the saddle, as she listened to the others.
