50 years ago a ship names 'The Sweet Fortune' docked in Tortuga. One man famously left the ship and paid for his night in the town with a fabulous set of ruby earrings and a matching necklace. It was an absurd price to pay.
13 days later the woman ran through the streets screaming that "They are comming!" and "But I didnt know! I dont have it." She was found dead in the sewage system (not rare there but still...)
The jewels had been stolen. A man named Robert Lins brought it off a street urchin many years later, and gave it to his wife. On the twelth day she ran to the docks and boarded the nearest ship.
The jewels were recovered- her body not. And so, it seemed, there was some type of curse on it- Many knew this, but could not resist the temptation...

Also, this is my first try at making Devina Jones a [font=Courier, monospace]close[/font]friend of Jacks (not so evil guys! Yay || o.O I'm rather weird as well....)

History:
Grew up in Kington on 'her' plantation 'Fountainhead'. Her mother left her, her father was gone, but her adopted father (the Govonour sent money to her fund untill she was 18 and could use the money the plantation brought in. When she was 14 a 'nanny' was sent, from Port Royale to ensure she became a proper lady. Thiswoman controlled her life untill she was 17 and ran off with a boy slave named Roger. The hunt was up, to ensure that Devina 'Jones' never set foot in Port Royale. She ended up heiring as one 'Thomas Kent' on a ship crerw by Captain Jack Sparrow to be. They became close friends untill the ship they had been crewed on surpassed a mutiny, and the two were split. Somehow Devina-'Thomas', though more Devina when she arrived on account of her hair- found her way back tro the plantation, stole the money, and set a man named 'Gale' in charge there. This man, as she might possibly, someday, somehow discover, was Davey Jones' other child.

At 9 years old Kristina had been getting lessons at the opera house from a boy of age 11 named Erik Varneau.Erik had left Paris and turned to the seas as a pirate to help his family pay the taxes. So in a daring attempt to rescue her angel of music Kristina boarded a pirate ship called the "star of the sea" and was elected captain.she wears this Dress
at sea.

Age: 18
Sex: Female
Apperance: Lin's hair is dark brown and hangs a little past her shoulders,it is often pulled back in a little pony tail. She wears the normal pirate clothing, only she tried hard to make herself look like a male. She has big brown eyes and tan skin. She's about 5'5" and has a small form. The only thing she has that is girly is a ring she wears on her thumb that was her mothers.

Peronality: Lin is fun loving and full of energy, but she is mostly quiet, never talking to anyone. She is someone who doesn't trust people easilybut when she does trust someone they are a friend for life. She is very protective of those she cares for.

History: Lin was born on a cold summer night, pirates raded her small town and killed her mother. She had no father so the pirates too her and raised her as there own. They raised her like boy and so she dresses and acts like one. She lived with them till she was 16, when she learned what they had done to her real mother. She found her mothers ring and took it, then ran. She didn't want anything to do with the, the men she had grown to love, the men that had raised her had taken her life away. Lin ran as far away as she could and began to look for a new crew to sail with, she didn't know what else to do.

Annoyed she rapped her foot against the floor, as the thuggish men around her dealt the cards, picked them up, and looked at them. Bets were placed, stakes were raised... This table always buzzed with activity.
"Kent? I said I have a straight, you going ta show your cards?"
As if waking up, the woman, Devina Jones- now posing as Thomas Kent, glared at him for a moment, thenscratched the back of her neck as if considering.
"Full House."
Grinning she fanned the cards out in front of them, and made to take the money, a dagger in front of her hand made her stop, and survey the owner.
"I thouhgt I won, in fact," she moved the crads a little "I'msure I have, thank you and good night."
Quickly the money was disappearing into various pockets and folds of her clothing. Almost serenly, four cards floated out from under her belt ; her eyes flicked at them, then back to the men inspecting their drunkness.
"No, really, good night gentelmen..."
Bleary eyes and upset the men sagged down again, while a perfect little cheater made her way across the tavern to count out the money.
