For all you who are interested,
read this, it confirms dumbledore IS dead!
Quote: At the second night of her reading in New York City, J.K. Rowling answered questions from fans, and when asked about Dumbledore she said, I know there's an entire site out there called DumbledoreIsNotDead.com, and I'm sorry they're not going to like this answer. You shouldn't expect Dumbledore to pull a Gandalf. I need to be more explicit: Dumbledore is definitely dead.
This is from dumbledoreisnotdead.com and was confirmed by J.K.Rowling ehrself!
So sorry all you believers, Dumbledore is dead!

Yup, yup. I figured he wasn't coming back, though I'll admit I did hope. I'm glad JKR finally cleared that up.
I wonder what they'll talk about at Dumbledore Is Not Dead.com... won't be much left to say.

Blah I'll have to email that to my cousin because he had this brilliant theory (the best I'd heard so far) as to why Dumbledore was still alive.

OK, if he pulled a Gandalf, she would be called a Tolkien ripper-offer even more than she already has been.

That's true. Even though she isn't really. If anything's a Tolkien takeoff, it's Eragon and Eldest. Don't get me wrong, I like them, but they are rather similar to LotR.

HP copies just about every story ever created, but JKR copies very well and makes it her own so I don't mind.
Its kinda sad htat he's well and truely dead, I th0ought there'd be more too it, Dumbledore wouldn't just die that simply with no back up or anything, it seems kinda weird.

Well, Dumbledore really had to be out of the way so that Harry could do his thing. It's down to him, Harry's the only one who can defeat Voldemort.

yes dumbledore is dead... i cried so much in that book. but don't forget about the portraits in the headmaster's office. i just remembered how all the former headmaster's had portraits in there that talked to the current headmaster the other day. i kinda did a happy dance.
